Anthony Joshua's chin ?

He's been down and he's been rocked but he's still unbeaten , so it would be unfair to base a rating on speculation.

I gave Joshua a 7. I don't think that Parker has the skill or punch to test it, so that 7 will likely still be in effect post-fight.

ya even at hw theres all sorts of differences and just some guys who can take pretty much everything. wach is the current guy like that, never even close to down vs wlad, ped version povetkin, or miller. only stopped on cut or just taking too much. compare that to price being kod by a glancing arm punch from average hitter thompson

I'd rate it as 8/10 in all honesty! Anthony Joshua's chin is solid right now and I'd rate it on the same level as someone like Alexander Povetkin's. There may have been a point in the past when Anthony Joshua was young that he may have had suspect punch resistance. However, I believe he currently has world class punch resistance, now that he has fully grown into his body frame and it won't be easy for anybody to finish or stop him anymore. I think Anthony Joshua is deceptively very durable!

His chin seems fine to me. But his heart is certainly world class. Not many fighters could have gotten up off the canvas after a shot like that and walk through more fire to get the KO like he did. That was the guttiest performance by a boxer in many many many years. It would be interesting to see how Wilder would have handled the same situation.

Chuvalo, McCall, Vitali and Mariusz Wach all have/had incredible punch resistance. Mercer, Holyfield, Tua and Ali too although they have been knocked down.

But there are 2 fighters that stand out of all them in my opinion. James Toney - former middleweight who took the best punches from the big heavyweight punchers (Peter and Rahman, Lucas Browne can punch hard too) and Marion Wilson, who, while being small and old, fought incredible amount of good or very good heavyweight punchers and never was stopped.

Toney definitely had a cast iron chin. Not sure he would have taken the bombs from Lewis that McCall waded through though. We will never know of course. However, incredible chin. Wilson I must confess to not being familiar with.

going down after a heavy hand by wlad is
not an indication for a weak chin.
