Superfly show tonight

Post by maverick23 »

Is it on UK tv anywhere? I can’t see it on Sky Sports or allegedly.

Pretty disappointing if not.

About 5 different youtube channels interviewed Eddie Hearn in the week and not a single one asked him about this show or why Sky aren't showing it :brick:

B-Nation confirmed yesterday they wont be showing it but its cool coz their showing the Lerena/Kucher card from South Africa next week for the coveted IBO title so I think we all know which one we'd prefer

I thought Sky would've showed it, they showed the last one and were talking about Srisaket/Estrada being a great match up after both guys won that night

Yeah that South Africa show makes up for everything! Bag of pish! Noticed they have Prograis v Indongo on which is pretty good to be fair.

What’s BN for if it’s not going to pick up shows like this?

Metro put an article up..

When is Superfly 2?

The fight card is on Saturday, February 24 at the Forum in Inglewood, California – the main event is likely to start around 2.30am GMT on Sunday, February 25.

Is Superfly 2 on television in the UK?

Unfortunately it will not be shown on television in the UK. Sky Sports picked up the first Superfly card but neither they not allegedly/BT Sport have done so this time around.

What are the odds? (Courtesy of Betfair)

4/6 Estrada vs Sor Rungvisai EVS

1/7 Nietes vs Reveco 4/1

4/6 Viloria vs Dalakian 11/10

1/7 Cuadras vs Arroyo 4/1
Srisaket Sor Rungvisai (44-4-1) vs Juan Francisco Estrada (36-2) – WBC super flyweight title

Donnie Nietes (40-1-4) vs Juan Carlos Reveco (39-3) – IBF flyweight title

Brian Viloria (38-5) vs Artem Dalakian (15-0) – vacant WBA flyweight title

Carlos Cuadras (36-2-1) vs McWiliiams Arroyo (16-3) – vacant WBC Silver super flyweight title

Pedro Duran (16-0-2) vs Enrique Tinoco (16-5-3)

Louisa Hawton (7-0) vs Anahi Torres (16-17-1) – vacant WBC International female light flyweight title

Mario Ramos (3-0) vs Oscar Eduardo Quezeda (7-5)

artem dalakian pretty much toyed with the slower brian viloria. got deducted a point yet still won 118-109. i thought he arguably didnt lose a round.

donnie nietes outboxes juan carlos reveco then catches him with a lovely counter to hurt him bad at the end of the 6th, then finish him off shortly into the 7th. nieites is one of the most overlooked in boxing relative to how good he is and what hes done.

mcwillisms arroyo beats carlos cuadras by md in a fun fight i thought arroyo clearly won. arroyo came out hard and hurt cuadras in tound 1, then cuadras hurt arroyo in round 2, and they had a fun two way fight with arroyo being a bit sharper and stronger

sor rungvisai does it again as he by the betting odds upsets juan franciso estrada by md. it was highly comoetetive but sor maybe just had a bit too much strength for estrada to get settled and counter effectively

overall a f@cking great card :salut:

tbh i would just want something other then a rematch. sor vs estrada was fun but while there making these top super fly fights id like to see fresh ones as much as possible. it would be great if they could pay inoue enough to stay at 115 and fight sor

id like to see yafai in the mix vs arroyo

i wish ancajas could fight on hbo, but as an arum guy i think he might be glued to espn

Something that needs to be held over Nietes is that he has NEVER fought a Japanese fighter. The neighbouring country has had so many top fighters in divisions and he's not mixed with any of them (any of Ioka, Inoue, Yaegashi, Kogawa, Igarashi, Higa, Kimura, Taguchi, Ken Shiro, Tanaka, Takayama, etc etc) bizarre. He's feasted on Latino's but no regional foes
