Gutted Soto would of been a good test.

I would have just renamed the original thread personally but seems people don't want that.
As for the poll, maybe we have some people here who think there could be an upset on the cards...

It wasn't yourself thatcreated the original Taylor vs. Soto thread. You can only change titles of threads that you create.

not in the slightest.
I would have renamed your original Taylor thread to the new opponent and carried on with it but it would have created a few moaners...

I would have renamed it myself had it not had 50 post. As you mentioned. Some people doen't like it. But then at the same time, didn't think it needed a new thread. Fight is mainly about Taylor and it's been exhaustingly discussed on the previous thread.

BTW, are you watching this or you gonna tune into Brook-Rabchenko?

Ha ha ha, yeah right Wes.
It will be an 'ok' fight. The more Taylor fights, the better.
Learning curve and all.

It's still all a learning curve for Josh.
Campos has 38 fights and a fair bit of experience at around the B level.
Taylor can gain some experience for himself in this one.
As long as he stays busy, learns something from each fight, it's all good.
Plenty of other guys at Josh's stage (especially in the US) are fighting opponents with 30-20 records, or worse...

Gutted the Soto fight was scrapped, looked forward to seeing how Taylor would've dealt with him and if he would've KO'd him, another former world champ on the slate cant harm anyone, Campos's record is pretty dreadful. a lot of guff in there, Barroso Ko'd him and he's been stopped a couple other times as well, he's in good form at least but surely Taylor will deal with him with ease, as long as he's not complacent, should be a straightforward KO

campos has one fight around b level and he got kod.

pretty much all his opposition is dire. would say d level or c- tops. cant see how anyone other then barroso qualifies for b level.

its true though for a typical prospect hed still be a good opponent this many fights in, though weve already seen taylor score multiple stoppages at what i think is a much better level. but on such short notice not sure it could really get much better

Hopefully Taylor can get a quick KO, take a couple of weeks off then get out again ASAP providing there's no injuries etc... He should be out another three times this year after Campos at this stage of his career.

Because Taylor is so good, it's easy to forget he's only had eleven fights. It's a top heavy division so there's a big gap between the top guys and the next level down.

Perhaps he should look to get some more rounds in against durable guys then look to start working towards a title shot after 3 or 4 more fights. I think John Molina would be a good opponent for Josh in the not too distant future. And I'd be interested to see how he deals with the tricky Mohamed Mimoune (beat Eggington), who now campaigns at 140lbs. But I doubt anyone would want to fight that guy as even if you beat him, it will be hard to look good in the process.

Hopefully the fight goes ahead. A lot of public transport has been cancelled the last couple of days due to the weather.
