Monzon vs Ray Robinson

Post by Migz »

Who do you think wins this fight and why???

im gonna go with Monzon he had a stinging jab, and his right cross and granite chin would help him in the fight.. i also believe he is possibly the greatest pure middleweight of all..???

So Monzon by Decision
Lol but i still love robinson!!!

Agreed. At welterweight Robinson was flawless but at middleweight I believe Monzon has all the tools to beat him. The only middleweight I can imagine beating Monzon is Harry Greb.

Id take Hagler to beat Monzon head to head, I still rate Monzon ahead all time.

You get these greats in and anything can happen, cuz mentally someone may find a weakness in real time during a fight. So it's always a crap shoot a this level.

However I would go in betting on Monzon in any Middleweight matchup. Robinson would have the best chance to beat him, but I don't give Hagler the same chance. Willie Monroe beat Hagler once, Monzon would likely do it 2 or more likely 3 for 3. Prime for Prime.

Bobby Watts probably honestly probably only fought Hagler to a draw as did Leonard. Though I accept both decisions.

When looking at Hagler and how he faired in rematches it is pretty hard to see him going winless three times against any fighter.
