Billy joe Saunders teaming up with Hearn?

Post by Steven_b96 »

Saw interview with Eddie Hearn saying bill has one fight left in his contract with frank could anyone see him go over to sky? He seems to get along with Eddie and with his stable mates with match room

Anything’s possible, I don’t see it though. He seems to be doing well where he is, so why change it.

if Jacobs gets the shot at the GGG/Canelo winner before Saunders, BJS will be very annoyed...

His last domestic fight wasn't even on his own promoters HD channel, because that was showing adverts for GGG Canelo. Same promoter has also delivered him a world title in a leisure centre.

Meanwhile a guy like Kell Brook is fighting on Box Office in a stadium earning an absolute packet.

Yeah, raw deal is what I think too.
Fwank lacks the juice to get BJS the really big paydays he deserves.

Can’t see BJS leaving Warren.

Seems to be a loyal to his promoter, and he’s making good money.

Made $1 million vs. Lemieux.. his biggest defence to date.

I think it was Eddie's way of returning fire for Fwank's frequent "Joshua's contract is up soon" comments.

True. But that was mainly due to the Canadian side of things, including the TV deal- which is where Fwank lacks juice.
Billy has a belt, Brook and Jacobs don't. Who gets the most $$$

That’s exactly what is was - Warren is desperate for Joshua to leave Matchroom - I think he forgets they did exist before Joshua came along.

This was Hearn just responding to FW constantly mentioning Joshus’s Contract.

I would imagine Hearn would put Saunders vs. Jacobs on Sky PPV if he couldn't get Saunders in with either GGG or Canelo...

It wouldn’t sell well as a PPV.

Saunders is loyal to Warren - he will resign with him. Anyway, he’s managed by MTK who have been getting their fighters to sign with frank recently.

Sky Box Office - it's only here where the telephone number pay days can be earned in the UK.

The amount of people kicking off on social media who in the end gave up trying to figure out how to pay for Groves vs Eubank was astounding.

Then a lot whom successfully figured it out and paid for it then ran into technical problems because the platform could not cope with the traffic.

Those with smart TV's logged onto ITV player and it wasn't showing it, you had to use a separate app called TVPlayer with bollywood and nature programs on it, and the PPV was buried in there. Then you needed to log into their website with PC to pay for the thing and then go back in to watch it. The whole thing was dreadful.

Do not underestimate mind share and ease-of-use on the day of a big fight. Many will not buy it because they do not know how and the rest may have tech issues and demand a refund.

Any British fighter would be a liar if they didn't want their career-defining fight to be shown on Sky box office, regardless whom promotes them.

Fwank did a brilliant job in providing that fight in Scotland. BJS was out of shape, unmotivated and would have been stripped if he hadn't gone through with it.

Saunders v Monroe Jr wasn’t on allegedly hd? Didn’t realise that as I unfortunately was at the Copper Box for that fight, wish I didn’t bother in hindsight as it was a shocking night.

Correct - only shown on standard BN as the HD channel was showing adverts.

This really, the two always find ways of throwing jabs at each other.

Don't think BJS would make significantly more money going to Hearn. He is going to likely travel for the big fights such as Canelo and GGG. He might get Jacobs over to the UK but it will be on a matchroom show.

That fight wasn’t even supposed to be on the card - it was scheduled (late) for the Cardiff bill the week before but Akavov didn’t get his visa in time or something, so Fwank moved it to the Scottish bill.

Half decent undercard and you got my $$$.
Anyone know what Jacobs is getting and got for his first 2 fights under Matchroom USA?
I'll take considered guesses, because I have no idea :maybe:

The rumour was Billy couldn't do the weight in time so Fwank sorted it.
