it would be probably the best win any non title holders have, and i rate povetkin the #3 hw and clearly world class

Possibly but there is zero chance of it happening whatsoever - and as I’ve said many times before I believe Povetkin to be massively over rated by some and well on the slide anyway.

Price doesn’t even have a punchers chance - when was the last time he ko’d someone of even British title level? He hardly throws the back hand in anger anymore and paws with his jab. Comes across as a top lad and has serious bottle to put himself up there to be shot at again but he looks gun shy everytime he steps in the ring. It’s a farcical fight

It would be the second best win that any active HW has right now. Second only to Joshuas win over Wlad.

Of course, this is Povetkin. It isn't going to happen and he will get ironed out in three or less, but theoretically then yeah!

I can't see how anyone can say no , povetkin is the no1 heavyweight without a belt whoever beats him deserves a title fight .

Seeing as Audley got one from beating Sprott I would say most definitely, hope not though as I got money on Povetkin to get it done in the 1st

Absolutely give him a shot, he's better than anything Joshua has faced so far apart from Klit.

1 win does not make you a title challenger, puts him in contention but prior to this fight he shouldn't even be ranked.

Sure

And if Michael Phelps can swim across the Atlantic from the U.S. Mainland all the way to England they should rename Great Britain to The United Kingdom of Michael

My thoughts exactly. Several journeyman have beaten top rated opponents and not received a shot at the belt.
Price needs more than one big win

And several have. He'd be an easy sell in Britain if he ironed out Povetkin, the guy who finally served justice on a drug cheat after several questionable losses etc, a scouse Rocky story, I can see it now. Except I can't see him lasting long with Povetkin.

Molina, Breazeale, Takam and possibly even Whyte would beat Price imo.

He lost to Hammer. I repeat, he lost to Hammer!

Dam right he should ! open top bus tour of the city, guest on jonathon ross show and maybe a cameo on the next expendables film ! it would be the biggest win ive ever seen when it comes to the gulf in class between price and pov :yay:

Pricey is up against it here, let's have it right. Had the four belts been non-unified in the Heavyweight division, then it's a certainty that Pov would have one of them.

If Pricey does pull this off, he would be well on his way to reviving his career and launching himself back into the Heavyweight top ten list with a bang.

It's a great opportunity for him, but by the same token - it's an incredibly tough challenge for a man who is known for taking panic attacks in the ring. He will have to control his fear, be accurate with his right hand and be smart enough not to let Povetkin dictate the fight.

It's a tough ask for anybody...
