tell me he doesnt beat good opponents then :TU:

let me guess, suddenly joe parker and jarrell miller are better then ortiz
I get that you're trying to take the opposite route of the blind Deontay haters by slobbing him so hard, but please don't expect any reasonable amount of change out of the group you're snipping at following this fight. By definition haters cannot be placated the same way jock sniffers will not be turned away.

This is Wilder's best opponent, and should be (by far...very far) his best win. It says more about the landscape than anything, but Deontay cannot be blamed for a weak division. He's been blamed for bottom feeding a weak division, but no doubt he's finally found a top opponent in Ortiz.

And Ortiz has finally found a top opponent in Wilder.

Why does Ortiz get a pass on opposition but Wilder is constantly demeaned?

Ortiz is lavished with a monster King Kong image by feasting on plenty questionable competition but Wilder only gets jeers for doing the same.

How come?

Jennings is better than anyone Wilder has fought and Wilder has been WBC champion since 2015 and has made 7 defences against really bad opponents (Stiverne is the pick of them.. cmon). I know the Povetkin fight fell through but Parker’s defence against Hughie Fury is better than Wilder has done.

I do give him credit for fighting Ortiz and we will find out exactly what level he’s at later.

Polish boxing promotor Andrzej Wasilewski just posted on twitter that Ortiz maybe will be not approved by commision and that replacement is prepared and everything will be clear in next hour, are there any other sources of this info?

Sounds like horsesh1t. NY Commission wouldn’t leave it until now to do this.

Ortiz has to pass some blood pressure related stuff, i just think it's a kind of game to distract Ortiz

Every fighter in the US has to pass a blood pressure test before the fight. That's business as usual.

Interesting Wilder came in so light... He could easily make Cruiser.

Surprising but shouldn’t hinder his performance. Long and rangey and won’t gas out. I do believe he will be knocked out though. I have more concerns if AJ comes in like like a WWE wrestler against Parker.

But they don't step in the ring with people so weak, that they know from very well that their life is at risk. If I'm smashing an old dementing granny in her face, then there is a fair chance she will die. Stiverne is an old, fat, out of shape dementing guy and there was a very big chance of him dying in the ring, we are all very lucky to see Wilder doesn't have such a hard punch, Klitschko would have killed him with the same punch he gave AJ.
Sorry, but you're being WAY too much of a drama queen.

Anyone who has followed boxing for any serious length of time knows that most every ring death in recent history has been from an accumulation of punches and not just one single shot.

Stiverne is an out-of-shape pig but his life was never in serious danger. To compare him to some "old demented granny" is limp-wristed drama queenery at its finest.

If you dont like Wilder, that's fine...but dont resort to nonsensical emo BS to try to justify your feelings. Just say "I think Wilder's a punk" and move on...
Nonono, I said it months and months beforehand, this was a dangerous match, Stiverne vs anyone with a heartbeat is currently a danger for Stiverne.
http://boxrec.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f ... s#p4694688

Stiverne was at danger and I would have blamed the WBC if he would have died that night. There was a reason I predicted a first round KO, correctly.

I even wrote this later on:
asdfjkl wrote: 25 Jun 2017, 02:15 Derric Rossy, Stiverne his last opponent, yesterday got TKOed after several KDs in 4 rounds against this barely top 100 cruiserweight:
http://boxrec.com/boxer/489720

Stiverne, who got KD himself against Rossy is not facing a rank 100 cruiserweight, but a heavyweight champion of the world!

TBH I think even a rank 200 cruiserweight currently has a very fair chance of not just winning, but even KO Stiverne within 8 rounds.
 You were the ONLY person overdramatizing the "danger" of Stiverne DYING in the ring against Wilder. Boxers dont die from EXHAUSTION or poor conditioning. Boxers die from an accumulation of punches over a period of time in a gruelling bout, NOT from being overweight & out of shape like Stiverne was for the Wilder rematch.

I’d agree exceptfoe the fact he (surely) hasn’t cut at all for the fight.
If he hasn’t cut - which surely he hasn’t - 14lbs off your natural weight of 214 would be a piece of piss

Wilder at cruiser? Come on. He is about 10lbs lighter than normal from being sick during camp. Imo he still looked sick. He didn't have as much energy it seemed as usual, but Ortiz had something to do with that. He showed heart though, and a solid chin. He still needs to snap his jab and use it more. He looked horrible for a few rounds, and apparently forgot about throwing a hook til near the end. Whatever, he looked poor for about half the fight, but had the power to win it.
