Kell Brook's Back!

Post by Thomastearns »

Looking good and relaxed taking out Rabchenko with a sweet combination in 2.

Coming back from 2 brutal back to back losses can never be easy but there is an upside after fighting the very best, things can only get easier.

Good to see him back. He’s a good, awkward fighter. The fact is he fought the best back to back and gave a good account of himself in both. That’s admirable. And another fact, he KOs Khan.

His eye sockets will be a problem. GGG ruined him and was, in hindsight, a mistake moving to 160.

Nice one Kell! You can’t fault that performance. We don’t know what will happen against Khan, so let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

Brook simply beat an opponent that was specifically chosen to lose... and lose spectacularly.

This bout served its purpose, which was to not only rebuild Brook's confidence, but to also repair his reputation.

We didn't learn anything from this bout, since the outcome was a foregone conclusion.

After 2 gruelling losses Kell Brook is entitled to a confidence-builder like this one. Bouncing back from those 2 debilitating losses wont be easy, but I wish him the best and will be rooting for him if he fights Khan.

Apart from a $5m pay day moving from 147 up to 160 to fight GGG was a crazy decision from both promoter and fighter

How do you know Khan is still fast? He is past 30 years old and hasn't fought for a while. He could still have it, Brook still looked crisp tonight albiet for a short fight.

how do you know him

brook has good timing and his sockets were busted by far harder hitters then khan, though maybe there even more vulnerable to injury now

I know him through a singer, whose family own Shesha Lounge in Cheethamill, Manchester. Khan used to always pop in. I know 2 boxers personally. Amir Khan ( and his brother) and Adil Anwar.

My brother is a photoshop master and made a few posters for Khan few years back around the time he was fighting Diaz. Also his sister went to the same uni as me.

Khan's quickness, combination and constant landing on Brook's face could cause problems. Depends on Brook's defence.
