Deontay Wilder’s wide low stance is sacrificing his height advantage. He looks crude and clumsy, but he seems much faster than the Cuban.

Ortiz is clearly being patient, but not throwing shots and perhaps he’ll regret this approach if the fight lasts the distance, since you can’t win rounds without landing punches.

This is a 10-9 round to Wilder… and I can’t help thinking that ‘The Bomber’ intentionally weighed light for this fight, with a view to scoring a decision victory - speed & stamina, rather than power.

Ortiz seems to be overly-cautious. He’s reluctant to close the distance and get himself into punching range. The Cuban isn’t throwing enough shots.

This fight could play out a bit like Wilder’s first bout against Stiverne.

20-18 Wilder.

As skilful as Luis Ortiz is, he isn’t trying to cut off the ring off. He’s walking towards Wilder in straight lines, allowing the American to use his lateral movement.

That being said, I don’t know who won the 3rd round. A decent argument could go either way. This fight is tricky to score.

Ortiz won the fourth round clearly. Wilder’s allowing the veteran Cuban to compete at a sedate pace, allowing the forty plus year old title challenger to compete at his comfort zone.

Ortiz getting through rd 4.. Wilder the cautious one, not throwing the right. IS he waiting for the Cuban to tire?

Wilder isn’t throwing punches. Ortiz doesn’t really need to land that many shots to steal the rounds.

SHOCK! Ortiz goes down!

I don't know what people expect--it's a VERY powerful, yet crude and amateurish windmiller versus a lethargic counterpuncher in his late 60's.
