Its's over! Wilder wins by KO.
Re: Round-by-Round: Deontay Wilder vs. Luis Ortiz - March 3, 2018
Damn Wilder has power. He can obvi anyone in the world out and I suspect that if 41 year old Wlad can knock Joshua down then so can Wilder.

Wow! Don’t really have the words. Wilder was getting a lesson in there.
Re: Round-by-Round: Deontay Wilder vs. Luis Ortiz - March 3, 2018
Joshua KOs Wilder guaranteed. If mid 40s past his prime Ortiz can do that to him, then I have no doobt Joshua takes him out

Big lesson for Wilder. Ortiz gave it his all.. couldn't stop Wilder..
Wilder just has that power..

A 41 year old Wlad inactive for almost 2 years coming off a loss knocked Joshua down.
I doubt Joshua has Oriz's chin

By the end. Ortiz simply tired

Out. Before the slip he was clearly hurt.

Massive, massive differences in the abilities of Ortiz and Joshua! AJ has power, and a suspect chin. While not having even close to the skills of Ortiz!

I thought the slip almost could've been a KD. Ortiz would've gone down if not for falling into/holding onto Wilder.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑04 Mar 2018, 00:27 By the end. Ortiz simply tired

Joshua has gotten tired in both his last 2 fights. If he gets tired against Wilder, he will get KD
Wilder got his 2nd wind tonight.

Because Joshua will easily land on Wilder, and unlike Ortiz, he will have stamina to finish it off too. Wilder is way too easy to hit.HyacinthusTurnipseed wrote: ↑04 Mar 2018, 00:27I think Joshua wins too but I have plenty of doubts! How can you not with that power?
Re: Round-by-Round: Deontay Wilder vs. Luis Ortiz - March 3, 2018
Wow. Can't question Wilder's chin anymore. Ortiz fought a great fight, and was technically better for sure. Wilder's power is real though. Not sure if Joshua can handle it. Will have to wait and see.
Wilder looked like he was still sick tonight.

Punch of a killer.

Wilder will easily land on Joshua as well. Neither have a good defence. I think Wilder hits harder and has a better chin from what we've seen though.klitoris wrote: ↑04 Mar 2018, 00:29Because Joshua will easily land on Wilder, and unlike Ortiz, he will have stamina to finish it off too. Wilder and AJ is the fight to make now, provided AJ gets past Parker.
Wilder has proven himself to have massive heart, will, (obviously) POWER, and an underrated chin. He has also proven himself to be at the top level of the division. In this abysmally bad heavyweight landscape, he and AJ is a gem of a fight and I really would like to see it!

Re: Round-by-Round: Deontay Wilder vs. Luis Ortiz - March 3, 2018
My scorecards matched the official judges. I had Wilder leading 86-85 at the time of the stoppage.
The first three rounds were challenging to score. Wilder’s work-rate versus Ortiz’s quality. If you don’t like the American or simply prefer the Cuban’s fundamental skills over Deontay’s crude approach, then I can understand why people’s scorecards would differ from my own.
Also, was the 7th a 10-8 round or not?
If I’d scored the first three rounds to the Cuban, because to be fair, they could have gone either way, then I would have had Ortiz leading by an 87-83 margin.

Wilder jerked him off his feet when Ortiz was holding to stop himself from being KOd. Against someone who was able to recover quicker it might have cost him the chance at the KO, but Wilder's finishing composure is improving by the look of it.p4p1 wrote: ↑04 Mar 2018, 00:28I thought the slip almost could've been a KD. I always worry that we will charge into something big when he gets excited after hurting someone.HyacinthusTurnipseed wrote: ↑04 Mar 2018, 00:34Wilder jerked him off his feet when Ortiz was holding to stop himself from being KOd.
