Wow. Can't question Wilder's chin anymore. Ortiz fought a great fight, and was technically better for sure. Wilder's power is real though. Not sure if Joshua can handle it. Will have to wait and see.

Wilder will easily land on Joshua as well. Neither have a good defence. I think Wilder hits harder and has a better chin from what we've seen though.

Wilder and AJ is the fight to make now, provided AJ gets past Parker.

Wilder has proven himself to have massive heart, will, (obviously) POWER, and an underrated chin. He has also proven himself to be at the top level of the division. In this abysmally bad heavyweight landscape, he and AJ is a gem of a fight and I really would like to see it!

My scorecards matched the official judges. I had Wilder leading 86-85 at the time of the stoppage.

The first three rounds were challenging to score. Wilder’s work-rate versus Ortiz’s quality. If you don’t like the American or simply prefer the Cuban’s fundamental skills over Deontay’s crude approach, then I can understand why people’s scorecards would differ from my own.

Also, was the 7th a 10-8 round or not?

If I’d scored the first three rounds to the Cuban, because to be fair, they could have gone either way, then I would have had Ortiz leading by an 87-83 margin.

Wilder jerked him off his feet when Ortiz was holding to stop himself from being KOd. Against someone who was able to recover quicker it might have cost him the chance at the KO, but Wilder's finishing composure is improving by the look of it.

Wilder jerked him off his feet when Ortiz was holding to stop himself from being KOd. Against someone who was able to recover quicker it might have cost him the chance at the KO, but Wilder's finishing composure is improving by the look of it.

I always worry that we will charge into something big when he gets excited after hurting someone.
