Worth remembering that the Wlad that Joshua beat was clearly better than the Ortiz we see last night when comparing signature wins.

Does anyone think Wilder takes the shot Joshua got dropped with from Wlad?

I favour Joshua about 65/35 over Wilder.

That was enjoyable but showed me nothing new.

Wilder is the most unskilled heavyweight champion I've ever seen but also maybe the most athletic.

I love him

But it's made me think that Joshua can beat him easily enough. I actually think that Parker would handle Wilder.

Wilder has very limited boxing technique he just has fast hands and power he won no more than 2minutes of the fight .

Up and down fight but incredible ending, Wilder has some heart and power, boring first 4 rounds Ortiz nicking them without doing much himself but Wilder done next to nothing at all then even after putting Ortiz down in the 5th he went back into a shell just keeping Ortiz on the outside by just using his feet instead of a jab

Soon as Ortiz hurt Wilder in the 7th the fight came alive, cant believe Wilder never went down, he took a pure pasting in the round and for at least a minute he was teetering on the brink, I scored the round 10-8, I had to it was a beating and credit to Wilder for seeing it through, he was still fvcked at the start of the 8th but Ortiz couldn't press, he put a lot into the previos round

Quality power from Wilder though, he was poor all night but again his power pulled it out of the bag for him, Ortiz was badly hurt when he went down from the push, he took an eternity to get up, barely made the count after the first KD of the round and the uppercut to finish him off was a top drawer

Plenty of credit for Wilder's resilliance but his technical ability and abiity to box to a proper plan were poor again, has a habit of just giving away rounds and it nearly cost him tonight, I had Ortiz up by a couple, surprised all 3 judges had Wilder up

Entertaining fight but I still don't rate Wilder very highly. He was getting outboxed by a 90 year old man who has looked terrible and slow in his last few fights.

He failed a drugs test in September. He's lucky to be fighting at all, $500k, a title shot, and a chance to bank eight figures against AJ if he won...wasn't bad going.
