Too soon. Tonight doesnt prove anything
Re: Josh Taylor vs Adrien Broner
Broner's extra experience consists of losses and I don't think that anyone can say that he has learnt and improved from them.
He can take a beating though so I'd expect a wide point decision for Taylor as long as he can stay focused and is conditioned for 12 active rounds.

Re: Josh Taylor vs Adrien Broner
broner actually has a much stronger body of wins then taylor plus far more rounds, its not just more experience through lossess
Re: Josh Taylor vs Adrien Broner
He has? Who has he beaten at 140lbs that you think was better than Taylor is now?
Ashley Theophane 2016
Khabib Allakhverdiev 2015
John Molina Jr 2015
Emmanuel Taylor 2014
Carlos Molina 2014
And do you think Broner is better now than he was in 2014 - 2016?
Re: Josh Taylor vs Adrien Broner
no sh!t he has beaten far better opposition then taylor and is more experienced even without the lossess (your claim was seemingly that he isnt):
paulie
granados
allakerdiev
theophane
john molina jr
emmanuel taylor
carlos molina
rees
demarco
escobedo
ponce de leon
vs
miguel vasquez
ohara davies
late notice winny campos
warren joubart
do you think taylors fought way better opposition then he really has? and only one of these lasted a full 7+ so not many rounds
not sure if most of these guys for jt are even as good as carlos molina

Re: Josh Taylor vs Adrien Broner
I wasn't comparing Broner's competition to Taylor's competition. I was comparing Broner's competition that he as beaten (at Taylor's weight only) with Taylor.
I don't disagree that Broner has more experience. I just tend to think that Taylor at 140lbs in 2018 is better than Broner at 140lbs at 2018.
If I thought that Taylor has reached his potential and won't beat anyone better than he has already fought I might agree with you but I think he is good enough to beat facing better fighters and keep winning.
Seeing how he would have dealt with shopworn but wily Soto would have been very interesting...

Re: Josh Taylor vs Adrien Broner
ya you make good points, i just thought you specified experience in wins and to me hard not to give broner the edge when josh has been pro for so fewer fights
josh really looks the part each time but there are levels to climb, even with 140 being weak. that said, i certainly get the impression that he can climb high enough successfully if the best are guys like lipinets and barthlemy
broner i actually think is pretty good, simply not elite. hes only ever lost at a very good level. that said i get the sense hell be fading noticably in the next few years
he also doesnt like rough fights where guys take it to him and josh brings the heat will skill, power , and lovely combos up and down
tbh, i think josh could maybe beat him already, but another good step up and more rounds would see jt better prepared
