Surely billy joe can step in. Postpone his pathetic fight with Murray and 2weeks later he fights GGG at the t mobile

Clenbuterol is an asthma drug so unless the cow he ate had breathing problems I can’t see it. You use it to cut weight as well it won’t put muscle on though just make you burn calories

Canelo looks likes he’s built like a bull lately, and his camp coming out with a load of bull shite too. You’d bet he’s on the gear not many doubts there.
Wonder what GGG does now, The f***er looked absolutely bullet-proof no matter what GGG hit him with last time out, like a pumped up tank.

Same pathetic non-believable excuse as the Fury's came out with explaining Tyson's miraculous improvement and Hughie's abysmal acne. No doubt plenty will be backing up Canelo though as just another innocent man caught up in a world of dodgy beefburgers.
Should be a lifetime ban. Boxing's attitude towards drug cheats is a joke.

Clen is a drug used to burn fat not build muscle. I'm not sure why he would need to take clen at this stage an it was only trace amounts found.
Even if he was taking clen at this stage I'm not sure what benefit this would give him on fight night? So many ppl just assume any banned substance means it will make them stronger etc. Not the case with clen

You're asking why a banned drug used to burn fat would be of any benefit to a professional boxer?Wa1nuts wrote: ↑06 Mar 2018, 04:37 Clen is a drug used to burn fat not build muscle. I'm not sure why he would need to take clen at this stage an it was only trace amounts found.

I'm not asking a generic question as you have put it. I'm asking with regards to Canelo more than 2 months ahead of his fight. As if he couldn't make weight without the use of clen months before the weigh in.dirk2686 wrote: ↑06 Mar 2018, 04:41You're asking why a banned drug used to burn fat would be of any benefit to a professional boxer?Wa1nuts wrote: ↑06 Mar 2018, 04:37 Clen is a drug used to burn fat not build muscle. Other sources have stated the drug builds muscle, cuts fat and aids breathing. He could make weight, just as he could do well fighting clean, but it's very hard to pretend that the presence of a performance enhancing steroid isn't going to improve his performance.
Re: Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (WBC, WBA, IBF, IBO) vs. Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez II - May 5th 2018
I see what you're saying but I doubt clen has ever been used by anybody to increase muscle mass regardless what an Internet article might say. An extra hours sleep after training will help you build muscle mass but an extra hour sleep is not gonna make a massive difference overall to a fighter.dirk2686 wrote: ↑06 Mar 2018, 04:53Other sources have stated the drug builds muscle, cuts fat and aids breathing. With regards to increased endurance or help breathing in the real world talking to people who use the drug you will find most get side effects which do the opposite. Clen has several nasty side effects.
My point is just because it's banned even if 1 or both fighters were taking it, it wouldn't bother me. It's not like it's hgh or winstrol or anything that will increase recovery and build lean muscle / increase strength.
The amount of money in boxing and the ease of beating drug tests it wouldn't surprise me if most boxers were on the gear. People think Aj isn't on the gear despite a distented gut etc.

Likely he’s taking all sorts ( millions at stake & mexico ain’t gonna let the Russians - and all the rest - get an advantage on their boys ) and an error has allowed this one to get through the various masks and other tried and tested methods used to ensure there’s never a positive test ( see cycling )

Clenbuterol is commonly used as a masking agent of other...medications, rather than for it's own specific benefits.Wa1nuts wrote: ↑06 Mar 2018, 05:23I see what you're saying but I doubt clen has ever been used by anybody to increase muscle mass regardless what an Internet article might say. A friend who does/has done it says the side effects are minimal if the dosage is right too.
Re: Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (WBC, WBA, IBF, IBO) vs. Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez II - May 5th 2018
To have minimal. Side effects means the dose are would be small enough to have minimal benefits. With regards to being a masking agent I don't know anything about that an haven't read up about the half life of clen but surely any gear boxers will be using will have a short ester an therefore be out the system at a similar time to clen. What's the point in masking one banned substance with another?MarkMcBurney wrote: ↑06 Mar 2018, 06:07Clenbuterol is commonly used as a masking agent of other...medications, rather than for it's own specific benefits.Wa1nuts wrote: ↑06 Mar 2018, 05:23I see what you're saying but I doubt clen has ever been used by anybody to increase muscle mass regardless what an Internet article might say. I've got no idea about this contaminated meat excuse either. Surely there must be a possibility of this otherwise how do boxers get away with using it as an excuse? How could meat be contaminated with clen?

No, you can achieve significant results using the right dosage with little side effect. Clen has a half life of >48 hours.Wa1nuts wrote: ↑06 Mar 2018, 06:33To have minimal. It seems like the food contamination from Clenbuterol is a real thing.
Taken from wikipedia article for Clenbuterol...
Food contamination
Clenbuterol is occasionally referred to as "bute" and this risks confusion with phenylbutazone, also called "bute". Phenylbutazone, which is a drug also used with horses, was tested for in the 2013 European meat adulteration scandal.
Intended to result in leaner meat with a higher muscle-to-fat ratio, the use of clenbuterol has been banned in meat since 1991 in the USA and since 1996 in the European Union. The drug is banned due to health concerns about symptoms noted in consumers. These include increased heart rate, muscular tremors, headaches, nausea, fever, and chills. In several cases in Europe, these adverse symptoms have been temporary.
Clenbuterol is a growth-promoting drug in the β agonist class of compounds. It is not licensed for use in China[38] or the United States or the EU for food producing animals, but some countries have approved it for animals not used for food, and a few countries have approved it for therapeutic uses in food-producing animals.
Not just athletes are affected by contamination. In Portugal, 50 people were reported as affected by clenbuterol in liver and pork between 1998 and 2002, while in 1990, veal liver was suspected of causing clenbuterol poisoning in 22 people in France and 135 people in Spain.
In September 2006, some 330 people in Shanghai suffered from food poisoning after eating clenbuterol-contaminated pork.
In February 2009, at least 70 people in one Chinese province (Guangdong) suffered food poisoning after eating pig organs believed to contain clenbuterol residue. The victims complained of stomachaches and diarrhea after eating pig organs bought in local markets.
In March 2011, China's Ministry of Agriculture said the government would launch a one-year crackdown on illegal additives in pig feed, after a subsidiary of Shuanghui Group, China's largest meat producer, was exposed for using clenbuterol-contaminated pork in its meat products. A total of 72 people in central Henan Province, where Shuanghui is based, were taken into police custody for allegedly producing, selling or using clenbuterol. The situation has dramatically improved in China since September 2011, when a ban of clenbuterol was announced by China’s Ministry of Agriculture.

The meat contamination is definitely a 'thing', but Canelo is arguably the biggest name in the sport and is a multi-multi millionnaire - you're telling me he can't/wouldn't source meat that would definitely not contain a banned substance? BS.

Didn't canelo say on the Mayweather 24/7 (or whatever it was during the build to to that fight) that he had his meat imported to avoid possible contamination?

Yeah... if I was a multi-millionaire I'd eat purely organic/fresh meat directly sourced rather than from supermarket shelves.
