is he that good? to destroy a guy who fought pretty much an even fight with the great ward and dominated everyone else he fought?

whats so good about bivol that hes that far above

I think it's more the case that Kovalev is not as good as he was few years back. But I guess we're not really sure about that one either seeing as his last 2 fights have been fairly easy.

He turned it down back in November before he knew WBO would sanction it. This this 1, it's strange. Maybe he thought he'd become WBA champion and then fight Kovalev for even more money in an even split?

sounds like he mayve liked his chances vs bivol better and so gave up some money for a better shot at a belt

Really brave effort from Mikhalkin, game until the last and stood up to some clean punches from Kovalev which would've put a lot of guys down but really he was always second best, Kovalev was sharper, quicker and was always in the lead, caught Mikhalkin with some lovely straight right hands and some quick left hooks

Looked the right call from the ref to stop it when he did, Mikhlakin was cut and looking busted up but he was still marching forward though Kovalev's shots were starting to have a more visable effect, it was looking a lost cause

Kovalev folded like the typical bully vs ward and I believe he does like the vodka between fights. Bivol beat barerra easier than ward did, outboxed him comfortably. Kovalev I think once you stand up to him he will fold. And bivol will muller him to the body like ward did and go after kovalev. He has speed, power and excellent technique. I think he would just want it more and roll kovalev over. Kovalev got exposed in the ward fight. Its a bit like hatton tszyu. Tszyu quit before when it was put him by cool vince phillips and then the heart wasnt there again when hatton bullied him.

I think wlad klitschko is the only fighter that ive seen that folded like a deck chair when it was put on him like a classic bully and then managed to actually show championship level heart in a fight as he did vs joshua. I cant think of any other fighters that youd label as clear bully types who folded like an accordion when someone stood up to them and and then showed world level heart in a fight.
