You do know that Wlad hits much harder than Wilder
I don't know that primarily because it isn't true.
Then you know nothing about boxing. Wlad was a lot heavier and actually knew how to plant his feet, turn his should and throw his whole weight in to a shot. You can't claim 10/10 for power of someone who's best KO is at 75 year old Cuban
If you would have said Wlad is a better boxer and would win rounds against Wilder, you'd be right, but you didn't say that.
What does heaviness have to do with this? Butterbean would be best IF heaviness was important.
If Ortiz had hit Wlad with what he hit Wilder with, they would have carried Wlad out on a stretcher. Wlad had a weak chin. Only reason he had a winning streak at the end was because Manny taught Wlad defense.

wlad actually got through big shots before, like in the first peter fight
wilders more durable then wlad but im not suddenly believing he has an iron chin. molina hurt him and he was almost gone vs ortiz, like seriously hurt. he showed good heart and recovery though.

You clearly lack the ability to actually read my post. His sound technique allows him to put his entire weight behind a punch. The way he sets his feet and turns his should rather than jumping around, throwing wild swinging punches, which takes a lot of bite out of punches
I'm not saying Wilder isn't an incredibly powerful/explosive fighter, he clearly is. But he doesn't possess the single punching power than Wlad did. Those shots landed on Pulev were harder than any shot Wilder has thrown

Wlad got KNOCKED OUT By:
Ross Purrity
Corrie Sanders
Lamon Brewster
That takes some doing.
I never said I know Wilder hits harder. It doesn't matter who hits marginally harder. Shavers likely hit harder than both of them.
he was more so gassed vs purrity and brewster, sanders he got hurt bad and destroyed, though tbf sanders was a good puncher despite all his shortcomings
wilder may well hit harder then wlad did, i certainly dont think its clear wilder doesnt hit harder. technique isnt everythinh, some guys can just really crack
i think wlad, wilder, aj all had/have enough power to be serious ko threats to the others if landing, the fine differences in power imo dont mean a huge deal

Agree here. I try not to be biased when I debate. I had Wilder down 86-83 against Ortiz. If Wlad managed to avoid Wilder's power, Wlad would win. But there is no way even a good imagination could imagine Wlad taking Wilder's best shots.
no i dont think wlad could take wilders best shots. wilder would prob take wlads shots better but i think they each had/have the power to stop each other. wilder surviving being terribly hurt by ortiz doesnt suddenly make him an iron man who cant be stopped, just like khan wasnt for getting through maidana on his feet

What has your chin got to do with your punching power? That makes no sense

Maybe I'm not being clear. Wilder and Wlad both have great power. Wlad is a much better boxer. Wilder has a much better chin. I do not agree that its clear Wlad hits harder.

Fair enough mate, you're entitled to your opinion. It's just very hype train to say Wilder hits that hard. His power is very overrated. He doesn't seem to know how to put his whole weight behind a shot. Wlad's power was great

I'd pick Vit over Wilder due to styles. Wilder is limited but is an exciting puncher. I give him props for taking those shots in round 7. Reminded me of Foreman taking blows from Holyfield. Wlad withstood great shots from Peters and others. They are all great champions even though I pick Joshua over Wilder.

I'd be inclined to believe that Wllad actually beat someone any better.
Than Ortiz? He's beaten at least 10 better
Hard to judge since nobody ever saw them fight him. Between the excessive clinching and all.
It was an excellent fight I loved it a proper straightener.
I had Ortiz ahead prior to the knock out and he fought really well, much better than I had anticipated.
Wilders skills didn't surprise me as I think it's fair to say most of the core fans already knew he was lacking in certain fields previously, but we also knew Deontay can hit and boy did he ever deliver.
This was a great fight for us[boxing]and putting it beside Anthony Joshua's bout with Wladimir Klitschko hopefully signals some good heavyweight bouts to come.
Luis Ortiz deserves a special mention and shouldn't be forgotten much like Wladimir Klitschko, both of them came to fight and even though they lost they came away from the fights looking good.
Luis Ortiz maybe slightly overshadowed by Deontay at this point but I doubt anyone will take him lighly, I applaud his courage he fought well.
Deontay .... I love that nasty mean streak he has I really do, if you show a sign of weakness or allow an opening to present itself he'll be all over it like white on rice, so all opponents have to be switched on or he'll get you and has the power to put your lights out.
He has work to do on his jab and a number of other things and I hope he seeks some help on those issues as it will only make him a better fighter.
Thoroughly enjoyed the fight and the Heavyweight division is buzzing again and better off for it.
