Joshua made a huge mistake
Joshua made a huge mistake
...when he sign up to fight Parker that was the biggest mistake of his short career.
I predict Parker to KO Joshua within 3 rounds and for it to be brutal with Parker being extremely aggressive .

I don't know who any of you guys are trying to kid with these threads. Yourselves?
Joshua is gonna win every round in this fight I figure, and stop him around the 5th or 6th round.

Re: Joshua made a huge mistake
It'll be easier than the Takam fight for AJ
Re: Joshua made a huge mistake
Parker has 1 punch knockout power against average chin opponents like Joshua’s chin .
Huggie Fury ran couldn’t hit him . Fury felt Parker’s power 1st round and went into survival mode.
Ruiz amazing chin felt Parker’s power but could handle it .
Re: Joshua made a huge mistake
I don't think this will be an easy win for AJ. Parker seems a lot more motivated, and I'll be surprised if he comes in fat like he did against Andy Ruiz Jr.
Re: Joshua made a huge mistake
eazy for aj
joe has very lttle to trouble aj.
several nches shorter. way smaller reach. way less power and cant hurt anyone good. sloppy and open. etc.
just cant see what joe has to be much of an issue. want to be wrong though as Id prefer a good hard fought fight.

Re: Joshua made a huge mistake
Right... Just like Takam felt Parker's power and could handle it better than Parker handled HIS power... Takam got knocked out by Povetkin in an earlier fight, so I guess he does go out... Razvan Cojanu is another guy who felt Parker's power and handled it well... But when Cojanu fought Donovan Dennis he was knocked out in 2 rounds.. So is Dennis the Man??? Not really.. In Dennis's next 2 fights he suffered KO losses to Andrey Fedosov and Jarrell Miller...
SOMEBODY out there has punching power... There's a LOT of brutal KO's going down... Not too many by Joseph Parker.
Re: Joshua made a huge mistake
could hurt cojanu
couldnt hurt fury
couldnt hurt ruIz
= destroys aj within 3
sure. ya.

Re: Joshua made a huge mistake
Couldn't hurt Cojanu.... Takam.... Ruiz... or Fury... or even knock them down -- but stops Joshua in 3.... Makes no sense.

Parker is going to shock a lot of people.

..I'll be surprised if Parker turns out to be competitive ...
Re: Joshua made a huge mistake
I'm not writing off Parker but when you look at his performances it doesn't look good for him ...
Takam: I thought Parker won a close fight. You could make a case for Takam winning and he wasn't troubled by Parkers' power.
Ruiz: i thought Parker won a close fight. You could make a case for Ruiz winning and he wasn't troubled by Parkers' power.
Razvan Cojanu: Unlike Takam and Ruiz, Cojanu is a rather limited opponent. He didn't remotely threaten to win but he wasn't troubled by Parkers' power either.
Fury: Did rather kill the fight but if you take the literal view about boxing being the art of hitting without being hit, and about the number of punches landed, then there was only one winner and it wasn't Parker.
Now this is heavyweight boxing, anything can happen. Joshua still has a few unresolved questions, notably regarding his chin and his stamina, but realistically he is 20 and 0 with 100% Knockout ratio for a reason, If Parker doesn't have the power to bother those guys, I can't really see him as the man to expose AJ's deficiencies and relieve him of his titles.

Parker would have been 50/50 with Jean Pierre Coopman.

You're entitled to your opinion & of course, we shall see, but I don't what Parker has done to convince you that he flattens Joshua inside 3 rounds.

Re: Joshua made a huge mistake
I think this fight goes the distance. Parkers got a very good chin, can do the 12 rounds well and he should also give AJ enough to think about to not make it too one-sided. AJ's also looked quite slow and plodding in his last few fights to me.
Saying that while I think Parker will have moments in the fight I think AJ will win relatively comfortably. 8-4 or 9-3, something like that.

Good summary. Joshua is The Champion and this comes from a yank who is a Wilder fan.candyslim wrote: ↑10 Mar 2018, 05:22 I'm not writing off Parker but when you look at his performances it doesn't look good for him ...

tier one
Joshua
tier two
Wilder
tier three
Parker
Ruiz
Hughie
Povetkin
Pulev
Takam
Miller
Ortiz
Re: Joshua made a huge mistake
Povetkin is still tier one with Joshua. He's Joshua's biggest threat. The rest are all tier two. Wilder got outboxed by Szpilka and fatboy Ortiz.Tony1244 wrote: ↑10 Mar 2018, 11:15Good summary.
