Relikh - Burns (Rematch?)
Relikh - Burns (Rematch?)
Seems like Kiryl needs this rematch against Ricky in order to be considered a legit name at 140 after his impressive win over Barthelemew yesterday.

Re: Relikh - Burns (Rematch?)
Burns is shot to shít and doesn't need to be taking they kind of shots that Barthemley shipped last night. He's too brave for his own good at times. He's been done at the top level for years. He started well against Relikh but was in trouble late on and Relikh deserved the nod I thought.
I can see Taylor's team trying to make the Burns fight this year at some point.

Re: Relikh - Burns (Rematch?)
Meh. If you just fight and beat someone who is better than Burns, then you really don't need to worry about rematching Burns. It should already be obvious from Relikh's win over Barthelemy that he is probably better than Burns. If Relikh followed that up with a win over Pograis, Flanagan, Postol, Mimoune, or Broner; the he REALLY wouldn't need to prove that he was better than Burns, because it'd be obvious.
Re: Relikh - Burns (Rematch?)
Relikh really did a workman's job in this fight. Stayed on the plan and executed it. I really enjoyed watching him work. A Burns rematch would merely be like Lennox Lewis v. Oliver McCall II. Clean up a loss. (Although that particular fight maybe wasn't the best example as I cannot imagine Burns weeping during the fight).

Same reason why Khan never rematched Prescott.. he achieved much more after the fight and Prescott was never really that good.oogiebe wrote: ↑11 Mar 2018, 13:57Relikh really did a workman's job in this fight. Relikh is clearly better than Burns.

Re: Relikh - Burns (Rematch?)
Never saw his fight with Burns, but I've read lots of credible dudes say he beat Burns. No need to rematch. It's like Lomachenko not needing to rematch Salido to get recognition as one of the p4p best. Relikh just beat a dude head-and-shoulders better than Burns.
Re: Relikh - Burns (Rematch?)
A Burns fight is a waste of time. BTW...he clearly won that fight IMO.

Relilkh should be undefeated. I thought he beat both Burns and Bartholomew - close but clear I'm both cases.

Re: Relikh - Burns (Rematch?)
Ricky Burns has lost his two most recent outings and isn't included in the WBA's top 15 rankings.
Therefore, there ain't going to be a rematch.

Re: Relikh - Burns (Rematch?)
the burns fight was close but i too felt relikh won it. those cards were dreadful homecooking. 8-4 and 10-2? get the f@ck outta here!!!
thought relikh beat barthlemy both times too, clearly as well.
