Boxing needs more weight classes!
Boxing needs more weight classes!
The IBF, WBA,WBC and WBO need more championship sanctioning fees. There are only 10 weight classes in the thirty five pounds between 105 lb. Minimumweight and 140 lbs. Jr. Welterweight. . . .I am calling for more weight divisions. . . .at 102 lbs. the Ant-weight classs, At 100 lbs. the Midget-weight class and the 98 lb. Weakling-weight class.. . . .more can be added at a later time. Perhaps the Micro-weight class and the Atom-weight class.. . . .Junior divisions can also be made at every pound so that every boxer can fight for a title.

We need a light super middleweight division.

Re: Boxing needs more weight classes!
In my opinion we need less weightclasses.
It shouldn't be that a boxer only needs to drop like 3 pounds to be in a different weightclass and another 3 to get in another other weightclass.

Re: Boxing needs more weight classes!
We also need a champion between super champion and regular champion, a upper champion. We also need a lower champion between regular champion and interim champion. And we need a super international champion inbetween international champion and interim champion.

What we really need are more sanctioning bodies, with creative minds in charge.
Then all the little details about creating new weight divisions would be sorted out in no time.
Personally I'd like to see every registered boxer be declared an interim champion so to boost their self esteem.
Re: Boxing needs more weight classes!
Hysterical! I say have each pound a different weight class, this way one can take a dump to move down, or hold it in to move up! For a bigger move, take a bigger dump...etc...lol!actjac wrote: ↑14 Mar 2018, 15:44 The IBF, WBA,WBC and WBO need more championship sanctioning fees. Everyone that pays the fees, imagine every undercard fight being a unification for 6 or 7 world titles, even if one is coming off of loss after loss.SenorPipino wrote: ↑14 Mar 2018, 17:06What we really need are more sanctioning bodies, with creative minds in charge.

I would have preferred if the weight classes had relatively uniform percentage increases in weight. Example below:
