Yeah but he's 10 years younger with nowhere near the amateur experience.

Dubois should be moved much slower.

Far to early to gauge isn't it, you've got to see him box some resilient fighters before you make too much of a decision

not really my point, of course he's younger, but its a level of opponent where hardly a devestating hitter is required to send them down. i remember plenty of ppl here (ex james mcdonnell) saying dubois already a genuine devestating puncher who hits much harder then joyce based on dd destroying nobodies and joyce going rounds with lewison, but lo and behold, look what happens when joyce faces bum city, he scores a 35 second stoppage. graham houston also said hed already go with dubois over povetkin and is sure that dub wouldve stopped hammer, just because hes seen dubois go through chinny nobodies.

. maybe even joyce could beat that 35 second time vs dave 'glass' howe or aj 'the finest china' carter.

If he gets the Chisora fight he should call him 'Dave' at the pressers.

Del would love that...

Joyce beats Dubois for me right now. He's got a big year ahead of him. People are so keen to write him off. Joyce has been in with plenty of good fighters in the amateurs and beat them. Just because he's slow and awkward. He's going to be a handful. If he was as sh*t as people seem to think he is these guys would be jumping at the chance to fight him. I think he's fine addition to the up and coming heavyweight scene.

agree absolutely. joyce gets underrated by a lot of ppl imo. ya he has an ugly style, but hes a strong guy whose been very effective with it and at least in the ams showed stamina at another level to anyone else. he beats so many fighters who to the eye looked neater. i also thought he shouldve been the olympic gold medalist.

and some ppl thought he looked poor in his debut, well he beat lewison even easier and quicker then world top 10 (or so) whyte did, and pretty much no one else debuts at that high a level

i think he has a euro in him at least

Joyce would easily handle Dubois. I agree, he'll get to Euro at least though I can't see him picking up a serious title. I don't see Dubois getting to Euro from what I've seen so far.

Two-time Muay Thai kickboxing champion Ruqsana Begum, meanwhile, got her professional boxing career up and running in a closely-fought draw with Ivanka Ivanova.

The 34-year-old, from Ilford, Essex, was born into a strict Muslim family. But in 2016, she launched her own range of sports hijab to inspire more women from her faith to take part in sport.

The 5ft 3in ‘pocket rocket’ endured a frustrating start on her debut, however. She was made to wait to start her four-round contest after Ivanova failed to arrive to the ring wearing a cup protector - which is a requirement in British boxing for female fighters.

“It was a strange situation,” admitted Haye, speaking on the undercard of the event - streamed live via Facebook on SportBible.

And it did not end as hoped as Begum was scored evenly on the scorecards, 38-38, with the bout called a draw.

Begums punching technique was so appalling I had to turn over, it was excruciating to watch
