Terence Crawford, the undisputed champion at WW ?
Terence Crawford, the undisputed champion at WW ?
What do you predict ? Is he capable for this great achievement ?
Re: Terence Crawford, the undisputed champion at WW ?
I believe he's capable. Unfortunately, being with Top Rank he might not have the chance to prove it against the current crop at the top of the WW division (considering all the top guys other than Horn are under Al Haymon). I don't see Crawford jumping in the ring with any of them for at least another year or more. Arum will make in house fights for Crawford as long as he can until he has no choice.

He is capable to do that, but his management is not capable to get other chapms in ring with him

I certainly think he's capable, but I don't know if all the promotional hoops could be jumped through to make it happen.

There's quite a few outstanding fighters at welter.
I haven't seen Crawford at 147, so the question posed is only based on his P4P skills.
He's talented but so are others. Let's see how he fares against Horn first before we begin the process of turning him into an ATG.
If he stepped in the ring right now against Thurman or Spence, he would be considered the underdog.

Lets see him fight at welterweight before we get too excited.

good point, hes actually my p4p number one but not everyone moves up the same. 140 to 147 is a pretty decent poundage jump too and the added strength of other guys could make him less effective, though i still count on him to be elite there.Like a Boss wrote: ↑18 Mar 2018, 20:56 Lets see him fight at welterweight before we get too excited.
there is a world of difference in size and strength between guys like spence and guys crawford fought at 140. even joltin jeff horn, though very limited, is a big strong physical guy who could easily fight at 154, and is much bigger then 140 guys that crawford fought.
but on the bright side for example, compare how he did vs felix diaz to how peterson did, and realize that peterson was almost equal with garcia. so i think that bodes well for him at least being an elite welterweight, though jury still out on how hed deal with the very best like spence

There is no chance that he's going to get a shot at each of the belts. He will probably get a shot at the WBO belt. But I don't expect Mayweather, Haymon, etc. working with Arum too much. Also, it is very rare for a fighter to become a 2-division undisputed champion; it is not something to make light of. Holyfield is the only person who has accomplished this since the 60's.

You might be right, but I would like you were wrong.Lackeos wrote: ↑18 Mar 2018, 22:42 There is no chance that he's going to get a shot at each of the belts. I am not sure how long Spence will be capable to make weight for WW, and it might be the decisive factor for Crawford's achievement at this weight class..........
