Yet he wants 2 more fights "before Brook".
And then he doesn't want Hearn to promote etc...etc...

Khan will always say he wants 2 fights before Brook. We've heard it all before.
Spot on.

At Khan's current rate of productivity, Kell Brook will be 52 by the time Khan has had the two fights that he wants before fighting him.

Strange world we live in, the man that would never work in collaboration with Hearn in any boxing event is now being promoted by him?

Well it depends on if Amir will move up to 154. Kell's Welter days are over!

If I was Kell, I'd concentrate on other things. Kahn has already wasted enough of his attention.

its a tough one, the Brook vs. Khan fight is his biggest potential payday and he wins it everyday of the week.
Its hard for him to just walk away from it...

I do appreciate that, especially after the two foolish defeats (as in flying up to Middle, then trying to squeeze back down to Welter). But they're both starting to drift out of their prime and i think even the boxing hardcores are losing interest. I know I am. Also, as a matter of principle, I wouldn't want to give Amir his biggest pay day on his terms.

I have a feeling that Brook will have to boil down to 147 if the fight is to be made. He might still have a good 5 or 6 rounds to catch Khan even at welter. Hopefully it is at 154 so Brook gets a full 12 rounds at him.

Agreed.

Amir Khan is very old news & really has a lot to prove before he can be talked about in a big fight sense.

Brook just needs to move forwards & stop thinking about the semi retired Khan.

If Khan subsequently proves himself & the fight then lands in Brook's lap, then go for it, but right now, he shouldn't be wasting his time on Amir Khan.

I think the higher the weight the better for Brook. I think it probably would be at around 150 but Khan knows that Brook wants this more than he does so could hold him ransom to all sorts of demands. Brook will accept anything just for the pay day at this point in his career.

I'd rather Brook go for another world title shot to be honest. I think he has a chance at beating anybody in the 154 division if his stamina has improved with the extra weight.

Brook wants the fight, always has done and certainly not just 'for the payday'. He's earned very well the last couple of years.

Pay day? I'm not sure that Kell has struggled for being paid well. I would argue that he has earned just as much as Amir, if not more.

Kell's biggest payday's were GGG and Spence. He was being paid peanuts compared to those fights prior..

Khan has been earning at least over a million per fight since he won a world title bar 1 or 2 fights.. so many sponsorships on top of that..

Not saying Kell hasn't been paid well but definately not as much as Khan..

Yeah, Khan most likely will have earned more through his career although his stint in the jungle may suggest he needs cash??

Not saying Brook is skint Rob, just that he is making noises about retirement so will want to maximise his income to secure his future retirement. As a fan and for his legacy then I would like to see him go and win another world title (which is he is capable of). That would bring it's own financial success but I would think a big stadium fight with Khan would be the biggest purse out there.

I just don't know, Khan is very rarely the 'A' side in profitable matches, so doubt he's picking up the perceived 'millions'. Then throw into the mix that boxing in the US is hardly prime time TV, which is where he has forged the majority of his recent career. Brook has had PPV bouts with GGG which will have given him millions, even if he was 30% 'B' side which was followed by a stadium fight in Sheffield where he was probably the 'A' side.

The only thing I would say is that Khan has had more big fights than Khan, but doubt he's picking up a big cheque for any of them (except maybe against Canelo).

I think we have to factor in that Khan won silver at the age of 17 and was massively marketable when he first turned over. The sponsorship alone must have been worth millions. If you mentioned Kell Brook back then to a member of the general public they would probably think you were on about a page 3 girl on the big breakfast!
