Looks Like Woods is Free to Face Delisle (again)
Glen Johnson and his promoters were objecting at the Woods-Delisle voluntary defense, on account of Johnson being mandatory after he beat GK Jones and Richard Hall.
Seemed to be a bit embarassing for FA, with Hatton's fight vs Collazo maybe not being for the title after Urkal's ppl won the purse bid for Urkal to challenge Collazo. and then Woods' fight, on the same night, being uncertain. The promoters are getting a crash course in keeping current in the baffling complex and convoluted world of pro boxing
anyhow, Glem said on boxingtalk that it seems the IBF are allowing Woods his easy fight.
also, Johnson mouthed off and said all the guys at 175 are cowards who won't fight him. WBC champ Adamek responded through b/talk and said he'll fight Johnson. Johnson accepted. Hopefully DKP and Warriors will set something up. Hope they get on with it, as Adamek is supposed to fight Briggs again in Oct

Lightheavyweight is just about more prone to innactivity than heavyweight. Tiozzo hasn't fought for over a year now. Come July, he'll have fought twice in three years. He and Erdei I think were meant to be fighting each other, but it obviously hasn't come off, and I don't know how much either are inclined to get it on, as Erdei persists in fighting poor opposition.
I don't begrudge Woods the voluntary at all, even de Lisle, as long as it doesn't jephordise the Johnson fight. If Woods could get back in the ring in July for Johnson that would be good.
Adamek seems the most willing of the lot to get things done, but seems to be being pushed on the back burner, which is a shame, as I think he has some decent potantial.
I won't even mention Tarver, who I think is only going to go for glamour fights against big names and shot boxers. Maybe a bit harsh, but I certainly don't think he'll fight any of the four belt holders.

I think Adamek would be too young and fresh for Johnson. He's got that persistant jab (if the Ulrich fight is any indication). Funny, both of those guys spanked Ulrich
Johnson seems quite ignorant. He said all the champs in the division are cowards for not fighting him, then when Adamek says bring it on GJ admits he's never even seen the man fight, let alone heard of him!

Anybody heard any news of the tickets, like when the go on sale and how much they are ???.
Just a tip for anyone wanting to go, i'd personally go for VIP tickets, you'll get them for bout £125-£150 - i think i paid £150 for the Gonzalez fight (ringside tickets, Vip bar at the arena & they get you back to the afterparty where i'd expect them to show the Hatton fight).
May be an expensive option but it'll be a cracking night out

Im a Clinton fan - but this is a poor match. He only beat him a couple of fights ago. Yes Clinton deserves a voluntary defense and a payday but surely they could have got someone else - anybody else - who could have fired the imagination.
If Warren had produced this fight for a WBO/WBU belt he would have been ripped to bits on here - it just goes to show even the IBF belts mean nowt.
