WHO WINS? Lenroy Thomas vs. Joe Joyce
who wins?
Re: WHO WINS? Lenroy Thomas vs. Joe Joyce
Got to feel for Dave Allen - Joe would win this one, and Hughie will beat Sexton for the British title.
Allen might get a shot with one of them but he wont beat either of them.

Re: WHO WINS? Lenroy Thomas vs. Joe Joyce
Thomas is an awkward and skilled southpaw and as such a useful match for Joyce although Joyce would of course win. He might then drop the commonwealth belt and Allen could then fight for it or the British which Fury will probably also vacate.

Joe Joyce should win that contest handily.
Dave Allen is a likeable guy building a decent fan base so will get the opportunities to box on big shows and pick up a number of belts. If Joyce picks up Commonwealth then Dave Allen is more likely to collect some International and Inter Continental type titles.

Its a good test if it happens
Thomas was in terrific shape coming into Allen 2. He is awkward, skilled and puts together eye catching combos. Yes I voted Thomas decision, and I think Joyce will have to KO Thomas to win this one.

Re: WHO WINS? Lenroy Thomas vs. Joe Joyce
i have no doubt joyce, for his limitations, is much better then dave allen and lenroy thomas.
prior to being chosen as an assumed dave allen victim, thomas was used in the states to get knocked out by prospects. his biggest win prior to allen was beating totally shot never was jason estrada, and even then the fight was actually a draw and only won in an extra round (it was part of a tournament).
his one win since allen was a very close fight (two cards 76-75) with a guy (ed fountain) whod just lost to a 6-10 guy. the guy thomas beat then just got kod right after he fought thomas.
this to me gives good perspective. dave allen is about as good as 12-4 boxrec #271 ed fountain. lenroy thomas beating allen doesnt really say that hes very good
but thomas i think is a solid opponent for probably soon to be 4-0 joyce

Re: WHO WINS? Lenroy Thomas vs. Joe Joyce
You make a compelling argument. It is possible for any guy to turn his career around at any stage. Thomas could do it, he isn't that old and seems in the shape of his life. Also the money for this and the Allen rematch may have motivated him to train harder and fight harderjamamb wrote: ↑15 Mar 2018, 18:57 i have no doubt joyce, for his limitations, is much better then dave allen and lenroy thomas.

Can't see it
Re: WHO WINS? Lenroy Thomas vs. Joe Joyce
Didn't say he would beat him but he is capable , silly talk to say he ain't
What's so good about joyce apart from the fact he's relentless

What's this talk of Del Boy possibly fighting Joyce?
Is that speculation, or is it for later in the year?

Joyce fairly easily.
Thomas is vastly over rated and the silly 'commonwealth' title is in the gutter atm.
I had to laugh on Saturday when haye mentioned his own 'unification' fight with Klit.

I don't know if Thomas is over rated, more he is at a similar level to Dave Allen, which is decent at this stage for Joyce. If he could beat Thomas and chisora these next few months he's a damn good prospectfunso banjo baby wrote: ↑19 Mar 2018, 13:20 Joyce fairly easily.

Thank you.
We ask for Joyce to be stepped up, and from Thomas to Del is great matchmaking IMO.

chisoras manager says chis aint fighting jj on may 5
Re: WHO WINS? Lenroy Thomas vs. Joe Joyce
This fight makes sense, Thomas is awkward enough to make Joyce have to think for a round or two before finding the knockout punch.
Picking up the Commonwealth title should make it easier to get solid opponents in future too.
