Dillian Whyte vs. Lucas Browne - March 24th 2018
Re: Dillian Whyte vs. Lucas Browne - March 24th 2018
I think Browne wins this, he’ll be behind on the cards but stop Whyte in the 9th round...
Re: Dillian Whyte vs. Lucas Browne - March 24th 2018
I don't have anything against Whyte but I hope Browne wins and puts this talk of an AJ rematch well and truly to bed. It's a fuckin pisstake!
Re: Dillian Whyte vs. Lucas Browne - March 24th 2018
Aha!
I knew you would get behind this fight eventually
Two big blokes of similar talent slugging away on slow motion like they are in a vat of bull semon.
One's a 'I got beef' dork, the other is a tattooed penis.
I mean, what isn't there to like about this fight?

Funniest thing for me was at the press conference Whyte calling Browne a racist because of his orangutan insult but then they face off, Browne offers his hand and they shake hands.
Re: Dillian Whyte vs. Lucas Browne - March 24th 2018
I'm looking forward to the card in general tbh. Hearn was talking about AJ v Whyte 2 today and that's just a fuckin horrible fight! Hopefully Browne puts any notion of that firmly to bed.KiwiRider wrote: ↑19 Mar 2018, 18:15Aha!

Browne can actually move better than Whyte in my opinion. Look at this fight. I know it's vs a bum but he shows really good movement for a heavyweight. I think he can outbox Whyte, who is ponderous in there.

Yeah hes is moving quite well for a tank.TheLeprechaun wrote: ↑20 Mar 2018, 19:26

I thought he was moving pretty well against Chagaev too. Hes problem is mostly slow hands and lack of fundamental boxing skills.
Whyte is not a master boxer either so this will be interesting match. I don't see Whyte out toughing Browne so he needs to win by boxing better. Can he do it?
Re: Dillian Whyte vs. Lucas Browne - March 24th 2018
Don't really rate either
Had Whyte winning but just lately I'm going toward Browne

Is this the headline fight of the night?
When do you guys think the Browne/Whyte fight will start?

Browne's quite light on his feet but it's not boxing movement; his feet aren't under him properly so when he does get tagged or out-manoeuvred he's out of position & off-balance (see also the Rudenko fight, where Rudenko's rudimentary boxing often had the big fella looking out of sorts in ways that Chagaev, being a harder hitter & more talented was able to capitalise on, at least, for a while).
Not saying that Whyte is like fundamentally sound or anything but though Browne has decently speedy wheels he's not operating from a solid foundation, IMO.
You both might be right & Browne's quicker feet might allow him to move around Whyte who does of course move like a lump but I think the Aussie's footwork makes him vulnerable to the application of proper boxing technique.
Now all Dillian has to do is summon some, of course...
EDIT: I will say, though, I could totally see Browne clumping Whyte one. I don't think much of Dillian's punch resistance & I've sat ringside from Browne & when he does land you deffo know all about it.

If this fight is boring and dull, Whyte will win wide on the cards... if it's like the Chisora fight, I'd expect Browne to win by KO.
I can't see Whyte stopping Browne and I can't see Browne winning on the cards.

Yeah if Browne comes with fire in his belly then it'll go his way I reckon

Chisora is fighting French boxer Zakaria Azzouzi in an 8 round bout

Browne seems to move out of the way pretty well when attacked and doesn't get cornered too easy. So I thought he has pretty good footwork. Now that I start to think of it bit more he rarely counters of the movement or goes to fast counter attacks. Hes footwork is maybe not as good as it seems...
I have t say I haven't been this exited for a match in while

yeh, he'll have a few of these and then somehow challenge for the EBU title again? or Commonwealth?Heretic wrote: ↑22 Mar 2018, 10:00Chisora is on proper journeyman mode now daysRuthless-RKO wrote: ↑22 Mar 2018, 09:22 Chisora is fighting French boxer Zakaria Azzouzi in an 8 round bout![]()
I doubt he'll ever get into a position where he will earn a world title shot or get a good enough ranking for a champion to fight him.. Especially seeing as Joshua (if he beats Parker) will have mandatories due
Re: Dillian Whyte vs. Lucas Browne - March 24th 2018
Yeah he is definitely on the slide. I don't think we will see him in high level matches anymore.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑22 Mar 2018, 10:16yeh, he'll have a few of these and then somehow challenge for the EBU title again? or Commonwealth?Heretic wrote: ↑22 Mar 2018, 10:00Chisora is on proper journeyman mode now daysRuthless-RKO wrote: ↑22 Mar 2018, 09:22 Chisora is fighting French boxer Zakaria Azzouzi in an 8 round bout![]()

Hes loss to Kabayel was pretty telling. Few years ago he would have rolled over him.

Gotten a bit lazy if you ask me.. Had he actually won the Whyte fight, he might be more positive.Heretic wrote: ↑22 Mar 2018, 10:28Yeah he is definitely on the slide.
