For the people saying "It's free, you can't complain"

Sure you can

Just because something's free don't mean it can't suck.

The "quality" of the show will just turn people away. These days if you get a fight thats anywhere close to decent we are expected to pay ppv prices..or at least on pay to view channels. Boxing is a joke nowadays.

If you've got a free to air platform; then you should make the most of it.

The advertisers won't be over the moon at being associated with such a dire product thats for sure.

Channel 5 will soon lose interest if it continues in this vein.

To be fair though it looks like Haye was only given 1 hr 30 slot on Five (no Spike show) - Askin vs Simmons wasn't a bad fight on paper that I was (at least) expecting to go long. If that would have been a 12 rounder and even if Joyce fight did only last 32 seconds - that would have been the full telecast.... Joyce bill live and Askin vs Simmons "as live" for the full 12 rounds.... we wouldn't have had the Begum fight or the glimpses of the Camacho fight.

I don't think we would have complained had Askin vs Simmons gone a bit longer as was expected.

Were any of Haye's fights on ITV? I can't remember.

I only ask, because he boxed on BBC at the start of his career. I've always wanted somebody from that BBC era to do the Freeview Triple of live BBC, ITV and Channel 5 fights.

Audley did BBC and ITV, and I always hoped he'd sign a fight against Fury on Channel 5.

Haye should try for the BBC, ITV, Channel 5 and Dave Freeview quadruple. :D

Fury did ITV and 5 - did he do BBC?

Don't think Haye did.

That's right, I forgot Fury did ITV early in his career.... That was when he punched himself in the face.

I don't think he did BBC, though.

There must be someone who has done all three? Even if it is as a blue corner opponent. Rules are though it must be pro fights only - because Fury definitely had some amateur fights on the BBC.

Witter has done ITV and BBC - cannot remember him on 5.

I think Matt Skelton might have sort off - He's definately done ITV, he "sort off" did 5 - as they showed Skelton vs Rogan on delayed... but has he done BBC?

Haye did BBC and Sky. Don’t think he did Itv or channel 5 ever.

Audley did BBC, itv and Sky.

Found one - Dean Francis.

Matthew Barney fight was on BBC.
He also fought as chief support for Khan vs Earl (ITV).
Channel 5 with both Orvil McKenzie Delayed and Bob Ajisafe (Live).

I thought it was ok apart from the women's bout.

Joe Joyce's make very quick work of his opponent and it was fair opposition for his 3rd pro fight.

Matty Atkins performed really well and landed a cracking body shot that Simmons just couldn't recover from.

Shame CH5 didn't show the whole Camacho v Cousins fight because that was a decent fight.

That's my view. Atkins vs Simmons was a decent fight on paper which I am sure the producers thought would go rounds. I guess the female fight had more general appeal than an Area / English level fight.

No, he didn't do Channel 5. I was just hoping, should he lose to Bellew again, he'd do another one of his 02 sell-outs vs crap opposition on Channel 5.

Haye's fight with Chisora was also on Allegedly, so he's had that channel on his repetoire, as well.

As above - I've been racking my brains and doing searches - only one I can see who has done it as a Pro is Dean Francis.
