Hughie Fury - Rising stock potential

If Parker turns over AJ, how would Hughies stock rise

Parker v Hughie Fury was very close.

It was also very boring. And Hughie has zero personality.
I don't think it helps him much

He’s already shown ‘shades of Ali’ I’m not sure there’s much room to improve after that...

Joshua is hardly killing it in the personality stakes.
Today Hughie boxes Joshuas head off imo...

Who was it who said that? - was it his dad?

Will have to find it on Youtube, just to see if the interviewer managed to keep a straight face!

He might be boring but he is undoubteldy a talented fighter.... I just hope he doesn't get pushed out of it. If Parker beats AJ the division possibly gets even more interesting.

If AJ went for the KO and got caught himself, I'd still be 100% way more impressed than Hughie's effort

He was fuming at the time. Was a massive gamble for big Mick so it's understandable.

If AJ fights to win there will be no way to compare the efforts.

Fury survived Parker fairly easily by constantly moving away and flicking out keep away punches. That's still pretty good for 12 rounds against a world class boxer but trying to win a fight by moving forward and using effective aggression is much more difficult so even if AJ ended up losing this way you couldn't automatically say that S.O.A performed better.

Yep Hughie Fury is dull as a dish washer inside and outside of the ring. with no fan base and i bet his fight with sexton won't even sell over a thousand tickets. Can't see Parker beating AJ. Parker only being talked up about due to him having a belt. AJ should force a stoppage late on.

But then his cousin isn't much more exciting but seems to have generated a mythical fan base.... His two highest profile wins were absolute stinkers.

Hughie fury has no sex appeal, no charisma no personality, infact apart from being a walking zit that would possible excite people if he sat in a microwave on full blast for 2 minutes I cant see him filling a phone box.

Fwank has the perfect marketing plan for both Tyson and Hughie.
The secret is to put them in fights only occasionally, giving fans time to forget how dire their performances were. And in the interim, promoting them relentlessly on social media- which is where champions are made these days.
It's genius really :o

If Parker beats AJ. The division kinda gets turned upside down. I assume AJ vs Parker rematch would be on the immediate horizon.

It certainly wouldn't hurt Fury if a guy he beat beats THE GUY.

Yep, pretty much this.

If it wasn’t for his cousin creating his opportunities and his dad paying his opponents purses he would be begging to fight Dave Allen in a leisure centre in Doncaster.

Around Andy Ruiz levels perhaps? Didn’t Ruiz perform better against Oarker and arguably beat him in their fight?

Flip it around...

If Joshua blasts Parker away, will people stop comparing Hughie to him and stop mentioning him as a potential opponent anytime soon?

I still say Huey's got huge potential. Let's be honest there wasn't all that much between him and parker. He's got the tools just needs to make a few big changes. Needs to strengthen his body up a bit and learn when to mix up his offence with his defence. He's got the defense side of it down. Just hangs on weather he can get the offence side of things down now. Mainly knowing when to go on the offence and when to stay on the defence. You don't need to be a hard hitter....with the right balance. For a massive step up in parker and his age. It actually was,t that a bad performance by him...just came a bit too soon. Plus exposed his faults a bit too late for it. Still say he can learn loads from it and improve massively from it.
