HOF Nomination: Marvin Hagler *Thread Closed*

Post by Crease »

Should Marvin be included in the HOF?

NOTE: If he does get in, there will be an asterisk beside his name because he didn't complete the full season.

Marvin always took on the hardest possible fight and (mostly) succeeded...
He still feels hard done by the Managers who wouldn't give him a chance in The Super Six, he would have loved it!!!

A man and character who showed the rue courage and fortitude to test himself against the best and achieve so much in such a short space of time.

There are fighters who can go throughout an entire 40 week season and can't achieve half of what he did.
How many guys have won 3 World Championships and how long did that take them?

Marvin won FOUR!!!! And he was only here just over a quarter of the season.

If you didn't complete the full season under the same management. You can never be a Hall of Famer in Sim land IMO.

I'm voting no, just based off Crease is only trying to get his name in the Hall under Marvin partial season. If he was trying to go for a whole season, with whoever managed him before as a co-hall managed fighter, he'd just have the better case.

Yes - but as a special dispensation entry. He's 13-week run was incredible.

But I'm biased.

I usually just look at the fax.....but in this case there were no naked ladies on it.

So my vote is no.

I'm going with NO for Hagler. Not really all that close for me - maybe I don't put enough stock in points totals but it didn't feel like he had an amazingly significant season otherwise.
