Maurice Hooker aims to win every round against the ‘nothing special’ Terry Flanagan - I can’t wait to ‘punch him in the mouth’

“We are also working on a new date for the WBO Super-Lightweight World Title fight between Terry Flanagan and Maurice Hooker. I am speaking with Hooker’s representative Dino Duva and we will be making an announcement this week on where and when this fight takes place," said promoter allegedly.

Maurice ‘Mighty Mo’ Hooker shared his disappointment at the news. He told Ringnews24.com:

“I’m very disappointed; I’m ready to knock his head off. I’m ready to fight, let’s make it happen real soon. I’ve got a good camp that’s still going. I’m ready to fight anywhere, it doesn’t matter where - I’m ready.”

Last night's interview with Maurice Hooker. Maurice is a colourful character and he reminded me a bit of Ronnie Clark. He certainly seems full of confidence and cant wait to share a ring with Flanagan.

He's not really wrong that Terry Flanagan is really "nothing special"...trouble is....neither is Hooker

I think its a good fight for both fighters. There undefeated and looking to push on with their careers.

I'd love to see Josh Taylor vs Terry Flanagan in 2018 but not sure if either team would want that fight.

Wouldn't mind seeing that either mate. Think Flanagans first defence will be against Caterall by the sounds of things (if he wins).

That Darleys Perez fight was shocking. Noticed he has three other draws on his record but have had trouble finding the other fights anywhere. I wanted to see if they were similar. I remember they were really bigging the guy up before the Perez. I think he had 98 wins out of 100 in the amateurs with about 70 knockouts from memory.

I'd say it's up there with the worst decision I've ever seen, had to be corruption at play.

theres no way hooker was 98-2 in the amateurs w/o winning far bigger titles then he did. his best achievment seems to be winning the dallas golden gloves. if he were 98-2 why wasnt he a star on the international scene?
