Tyson Fury is Reportedly Closing a Deal With Frânk Wärren

Post by Ruthless-RKO »

According to Press Association, Tyson Fury has agreed a promotional deal with Fränk Wârren.

Fury was seen on Friday at the BT Sport building in London, where he is understood to have finalised an agreement to fight under Warren on both BT Sport and BoxNâtion.

Suggestions persist that Fury’s first fight back could be on the undercard of Carl Frampton’s fight against Nonito Donaire in Belfast on April 21, or on that of long-term friend Billy Joe Saunders’ WBO middleweight title defence against Martin Murray in London on June 23.

Press Association Sport reports that Fury is instead likely to top a bill in Manchester, where he was born. The outlet made attempts to contact both Warrên and Fury, but neither were available for comment.

Hearn has indicated that they could not reach agreement as Fury wanted to fight opponents that were just too far removed from an acceptable level.

If at all true, I get that Fury has been out for 2.5 years but hell, lineal HW champ and all that, Ali was holding the same belt and came back against Quarry after even longer out of the ring.

After all the time away, the weight problems & all his personal issues he needs a couple of gimmie fights for his return surely?

Hearn's just pissed because he wanted to push him in with AJ as soon as possible to give his Golden Goose every opportunity to get the win.

Let’s get real, his 1st few comeback opponents are gonna be dire: After the last few surreal years, there will be a lingering doubt at the back of everyone’s mind that the big lunk could crash out the first time he’s hit with a half decent heavyweight punch.
FW, with his cupboards near empty of a box office star, will be treating him like a fragile golden goose.

Anyone got Roy Jones’ new number ?

Through the magic of ppv Eddie would pay tyson with our money. The better the opponent the more ppvs will be generated and not for one minute do I think Eddie gives a stuff about furys career. He is offering AJ partial ownership of matchroom boxing as a sweeter for a long term future working with him, he would not give a toss if fury was over matched and lost on the comeback trail

That's they way I see it too. People like to moan about Warren but I feel that in Tyson's case, it's the right move signing for him.

wasnt it not that hearn wasnt willing to give him easy fights, but that fury wanted way more for easy fights then hearn thought was feasible? i mean, maybe tyson really did want loads, although youd think fury has pretty good earning potential and might make it easily back. i dunno the business side well

but anyway, i agree he should be matched very cautiously at first. id have zero problem if he were to fight a guy like lenroy thomas. for fury just getting back in the ring at all is a huge step in the right direction.

amazingly hes not even 30 yet and he doesnt have to rush,

By the time he comes back he'll have been out for almost 3 years. He's entitled to a few warm up fights I would think.

I'd imagine his deal would reflect that.

Get it signed, get the fight made and start training Tyson! Piss-arsing about in health clubs with his pal or making cringeworthy singing videos are boring and nobody, bar the hardcore fans, really give a toss now.

Travellers don’t tend to age well at all. Shortest life expectancy of any minority in the UK, by far, and it’s common for lads in their early twenties to look mid 30’s. It’s the lifestyle I think. When you’re considered a man at 13, don’t be surprised if you’re an old man when you hit 30!

Tyson is different from the ‘average’ traveller ( the ones not on tv...poverty is widespread in the community ) though so maybe and hopefully that won’t be the case with him. Mind you, his immediate relavties all look older than their years and Tyson himself could have passed for mid 30’s when he was early twenties.

This definitely seemed to be the issue. He should be matched cautiously, but I think Hearn was understandably concerned about paying a fragile, flaky, poor seller like Fury good money, especially given his history of pulling out of fights.

I mean, don't get me wrong; his next fight will generate a lot of interest. But, if we're seeing Tyson fighting Manuel Charr in a stinker in December having had two stinkers before that, nobody is going to be that interested and he'll be back at the Copperbox or somewhere similar.

Hearn said he wouldn't pay the money that Tyson wants for the level of fighter he wants.

I think he needs a rust shaker against a knock over job like Charles Martin. But he should be looking at the lower end of the top 25. But I've a feeling he is wanting to fight intially at the lower end of the top 50

I’d be over the moon if the opponents he faces in 2018 are of the calibre of Charr.
I can see them setting there sights lower.

Glad he's signed for Frank. Hearn would've had him on PPV probably.
