Tyrone Spong also fights on that date, he just lost his world record of having the hardest punch ever recorded.

Tyron Zeuge Takes Out Isaac Ekpo in Two Rounds

Inselparkhalle, Wilhelmsburg, Germany -

In a rematch of their bout from a year ago, WBA "regular" super middleweight champion Tyron Zeuge (22-0-1, 12 KOs) stopped Isaac Ekpo (32-4, 25 KOs) in two rounds.

Last March, Zeuge won a five round technical decision after the fight ended early due to a clash of heads - which opened up a deep cut over Zeuge's right eye.

Zeuge started to pump his jab into Ekpo's face from the opening bell, using his jab to the body masterfully to lower Ekpo's guard. The Nigerian was open for a huge overhand right, and it was one of those that sent him crashing down late in the round, the challenger being saved by the bell.

It appeared that Ekpo was never been able to recover. Immediately after the start of the second, Zeuge landed four consecutive overhand rights to the temple of the Nigerian sending him to the canvas for the second time. Ekpo got up but was too dazed to continue fighting.

Official time of stoppage was 0:23 of the round. Ekpo is going down to 32-4, with 25 KOs, while Zeuge retained his belt for the third time. The Super WBA champion in this weight class is UK's George Groves, who is expected to fight Callum Smith in the WBSS super middleweight final later this year if his shoulder injury will allow him to do so.
