Unfortunately (for us aussies) Browne looked terribly slow, bottom heavy and that muscular back of his had faded. I thought he was slowly getting into it, like the tortoise and the hare but was knocked out in sickening fashion. He did however come to fight and was tough and capable enough not to be blown away in a couple rounds. I think he should retire for health and age reasons.
Whytes performance was good. He goes up in my estimation. Maybe I underrated him or maybe Browne was the perfect (slow) canvas for him. I do want to see more of him and hope this propels him to world level caliber fights where he’ll have a tough time taking a title.
brownes defense was truly appauling. i dont think whyte got much better then he was vs chisora. just shows how awful browne i. remember he won like 1 round out of 10 in his 'title' win vs ruslan hepetatis. and since then inactivity and just more age. browne is done now and whyte solidifies his top 10 position.
whyte vs wilder in uk should happen next if the aj fight doesntt. will be fun but deontay will do the business and it will get him extra uk attention.
Browne did far better than people are recalling in his Chagaev fight. Far better. It was relatively even at the stoppage regardless of the cards. The UK commentary noted the same.
thought chagaev was well ahead. if your just gonna say 'well so and so agreed with me', well i can find you ample ppl who agree that chag was well ahead
thats the same chagaev who barely beat old fres oquendo a few years before. fres did far better then browne was doing. showed again how limited browne is. just had good power, but doesnt really matter when your so slow and easy to hit that you get battered like he did today.
This was a NOTHING fight... The victory is without merit.
Browne fought 4 minutes in over 2 years when he stepped into the ring... The Greer character who he fought was worse than a punching bag. You can't even get the value of a round of sparring with an opponent like that.
The other question I want answered... Why were you 250 against Chagaev -- obviously the best condition of your life and your best performance -- and 264 against Whyte who is a better Heavyweight??? .... It makes no sense... This was not a balls out effort for Browne to win... He didn't have any activity as far as fights.. He didn't have any conditioning or strength.
None of that is Whyte's fault of course... He did what he had to do... It just doesn't mean he's any good.

I agree, Browne was in awful shape. The only thing I disagree with is prime for prime; Chagaev was better than Whyte at this point.

Sorry, but Chagaev was really way better in the first 5 rounds. Every time Browne came even remotely close he received a smack in his face. Chagaev didn't have KO power (and neither did Browne), but he was very accurate and high skilled despite his massive belly.
Browne was just asking to get KTFO. He was heavy on his feet, he didn't know, how to get to Whyte, he tried those useless stance-switchings. In addition to that he had no head-movement and had his hands low. He was just a big target. Whyte could have knocked him out earlier.

No need to apologise. I’d be offended if you agreed with me.

Didn't think Dillian would have the power to do that regardless of how pondering Browne looked
He doesn't have the power. Browne knocked himself out the wat he went down and landed. Poor guy probably couldn't even breath properly with all that bloody nose.
Some of the same people making excuses now for Browne being out of shape were picking him to win a week ago. Sorry, but he lost, and you lost too, because you overrated a guy who, at his absolute peak, clearly only had about 18% as much skill as Whyte. Athleticism couldn't have possibly played a factor in this fight when Whyte was so much more skilled that he was able to hit and not get hit all night long. You don't need excuses to explain why you're wrong. Sometimes you just make an obviously bad prediction.
