Why are you bringing liberals into this? Most liberals, like most people have no idea who Mayweather is.
Kalan!!!
I kind of lost you here. I did not get either the Canelo or McGregor fights because I thought it was a bad value. If McGregor had been UFC rules or if May had fought GGG, I would have purchased.
Kalan made a veiled accusation of racism...nothing to do with you except I agreed with your post.

I certainly don't think people who boycott Mayweather are necessarily either liberal nor racist. People have a right to boycott whatever they want to boycott.

I completely agree, however my issue is bringing that to BoxRec forum. I'd like to have a place to go with no political swath.

There may be a small of group of racists who use this as an excuse to boycott Mayweather and a handful of feminists who hate boxing who make a stink out of this. I don't know the details but he was convicted of assault and did some time.
Maybe I'm selfish but I'm sure I paid to watch athletes and musicians and tipped bartenders who did some bad things. :OhYes:

Says the guy that started a thread to dig up old news from years ago in an attempt to slander a fighter that already has plenty of life long haters to begin with?

Mayweather spent months in jail for domestic abuse... He probably learned his lesson from that punishment.

Have you heard any more stories of domestic abuse surrounding Floyd??? .... He matured and cleaned up his act.

I bought the fight vs Gatti, and that was one of the biggest mistakes of my life.

The fact that many of us have watched and/or bought Don King Productions, who had a murder conviction or two and watched countless armed robbers and wife beaters, of many nationalities and colors, it is patently absurd to have boycotted Mayweather.

I did not pay for the Pacquiao and McGregor fights but that had absolutely nothing to do with Mayweather's conviction.

-"He matured and cleaned up his act" ?

Until the next time. . . .anyway that's what Nicole Brown Simpson said. Once a man begins hitting and abusing women they create a pattern and do not stop unless and until someone breaks their hands with a baseball bat.

Not me.

Parcel Force Harrison killed my PPV ambitions and for that, I owe him a debt of gratitude.

Besides, these days, it's relatively easy to find internet streams of these fights in order that you don't have to pay rip-off prices for non-events & exhibitions like those 2 contests.
