These men need to be removed from USA Boxing leadership immediately! They have become the most CORRUPT administration to govern amateur boxing EVER, and I thought I'd seen it all! Are you kidding me?!? This is an illegal shakedown! When is it going to end? It MUST end now!
What USA Boxing is doing to Ringside is a direct violation of the Ted Stevens Act and the USOC bylaws. It's against the USOC rules and regulations for a national governing body (NGB) to discriminate when charging sanctioning fees. That means the NGB's sanctioning cost process must be standardized for EVERYONE without room for interpretation by ANYONE. It's NOT a moving target. That's a fact!
Ringside should hire a sports attorney to file a multi-million dollar class action lawsuit against USA Boxing with every coach and boxer who has been denied the opportunity to compete now because of the discriminatory sanctioning fee charged to Ringside. USA Boxing will only exacerbate the situation for themselves if they threaten anyone from participating in the lawsuit. They will also prove to me they want full control if they replace the Ringside tournament with a USAB one during the same time frame.
President "Controlling" John Brown and Executive Director, "Shakedown" Mikey McAtee of USA Boxing are the men directly responsible for these organized crime tactics because they want to control the money they're already not transparent with spending while aligning themselves with AIBA who wants pro boxers to represent the Olympic teams moving forward. That's the reason why USA Boxing dropped "amateur "from their name.
WAKE UP people before USA Boxing completely kills grass roots boxing. They're exorbitantly charging 36,000+ members in order to finance roughly 180 boxers they've deemed elite. What?!? WE have the power collectively to stop them right now because there is strength in numbers. We must align now!
There WILL be action taken against President John Brown & Executive Director Mike McAtee of USA Boxing for their bullying strong arm antics and tortious interference. It's time to right this ship and completely eradicate these two abusers of power from leadership in amateur boxing.
