Sonny Liston v Cleveland Williams 1st fight
Sonny was in his prime knocking everyone over but Cleveland gave him problems, attacking from the bell. According to reports Sonny said to himself after the first round, 'This guy's trouble if he keeps that up but I don't think he can'. He reckoned he'd taken Cleveland's best shots and come through. Sure enough that left jab slowly destroys him - and once he's going Sonny shows how to finish. Second fight was easier, Sonny had worked him out. I'm a Liston fan, tragedy how it all turned out. He was better than he showed in the Ali fights. First one he didn't train well enough, in the second he was fighting to orders. I think - who knows?
