Sky Box Office BT

Post by Stuarty »

I was supposed to be going out for this fight but looks as if I'll be housebound. I have BT and I don't think I'm able to access Sky Box Office through it! Fuckin strange! They'll be losing sales there.

Anyway, I was wondering what other ways there are to access it? I have my brothers Sky Go but I'm not sure if I can access the Box Office through that. Could I buy it direct online and watch?

Any help would be much appreciated troops :TU:

I’m with BT and the 2 ways I’ve worked out how to watch the sky PPVs are either pay to watch on my iPad (quality was fine but it’s annoying to watch on a small screen) or to use a now tv box which I borrowed off a friend and then connected through the tv.

I normally purchase online then plug the laptop into the tv.

The last couple of Ppv have been ok, but previously been buffering problems and on some occasions have found clearer streams from various other streaming sites free of charge.

I think the worst were the itv Ppv though but can't remember exactly.

Might be worth looking at now tv as well, I normally purchase a day pass for normal sky fight nights as have bt too.

Thanks very much mate :TU: I have Kodi so have option to stream but it's obviously not the most reliable. If I could get it through the tv I'd have paid. It's just daft not being able to access it on BT. I understand them digging their heels in on Sky Sports etc but a PPV is a PPV!

You can connect most laptops to most TV's with a HDMI cable. But it on the lappy then just connect to the TV mate

I’m sure you can order if you’re a BT customer - you can definitely order Sky PPV with TalkTalk and Virgin, so I’d be very surprised if BT didn’t let you?

Don't think they do mate. There's nothing online and I've farted about with my box last night and today and can't see a thing. It's really shite! Losing sales! Plenty folk I know have BT and would've been watching if available myself included.

Well...... Is it strange that you can't get a Bic Mac at KFC? They will be losing sales there....

As others have said, laptop into tv is simplest way for you.

Did you get a joke book in the Easter sales Lee :OhYes:

You can get Sky Box Office on Virgin, TalkTalk and wherever else... As I said previously, I can see why they don't let BT and Virgin show their domestic type channels but a PPV stands alone.

So you can buy it directly on line then? I wasn't sure.

You can buy the PPV online and either watch it on laptop and connect it to the tv, i think you can watch it on iphone/ipad as well,

I would say this would be last resort though, I done the online ppv for Bellew v Haye i think and it was absolutely dreadful I had to get a refund. The buffering issues are so bad and the audio is behind the visual
