Anyone know the level found in Canelo's system? I read somewhere it was more than is allowed in horses at race tracks, but that amount may be very small.

It was 600-800 picogramms which is 10x more than was found in some other athletes. There is a quote about that in one of current boxrec threads.

Canelo, Golovkin, Sanchez, DLH are promoting the fight much better than the first one. HBO just can't compete with them.

Wow, I didn't think Clenelo was that big of a tainted meat eater? :OhYes: Its good more facts are coming out now. They tried to hide the fact for a while that he had two failed tests, until it slipped out in one article.

Canelo’s main weakness is probably stamina. He has to fight at very measured paces because of his poor stamina.

Canelo Hit With NSAC Complaint, Hearing is Now on April 18

The Nevada State Athletic Commission has canceled a planned hearing on Friday, with respect to the temporary suspension of Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, and have now filed an official complaint against the boxer.

The disciplinary hearing, which was scheduled for April 10, is now going forward on April 18. The news was first reported by MMA Fighting.

“After completing my investigation, I made the determination to file a complaint against Mr. Alvarez and set the matter for a disciplinary hearing during the Commission’s regularly scheduled meeting on April 18th. Therefore, I am cancelling the hearing that was scheduled for Friday, March 30th," stated NSAC executive director Bob Bennett.

As I said, I think they'll just move it to Texas. No way Canelo will be fine with getting suspended. If GGG doesn't fight him, Canelo will get another opponent rather easily. I can see him eyeing a Brook fight, Andrade, or even Errol Spence Jr. (didn't see that he already has a fight set, though) I wouldn't put it past him to bring up another talented WW.

Also, I'm surprised Nevada is making such a stir considering Mayweather had them in his pocket for years. GBP must've not given them enough, stupidly.

No U.S. state will allow Canelo to fight if he is banned by NSAC. He will have to fight in Mexico.

Yes. Listen they need to make an example of him. His high profile shouldn’t help his cause. Having said that...I’ll believe it when I see it.

I agree it will be the minimum 6months from testing date. Meaning he'll be back in September

Canelo Withdraws From Golovkin Rematch on May 5

Canelo Alvarez withdrew Tuesday from his planned May 5 rematch against Gennady Golovkin.

Golden Boy Promotions president Eric Gomez made the announcement during a press conference/conference call at Golden Boy’s headquarters in Los Angeles. Gomez said Golden Boy’s brass had been advised that Alvarez isn’t likely to be cleared by the Nevada State Athletic Commission to fight Golovkin on May 5 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas when he appears before the NSAC on April 18 in Las Vegas.

http://ontheropesboxing.com/ronnie-shie ... an-see-it/
Ronnie Shields: Well I’ve heard that a lot of times before and the thing about it is, every fighter has to be accountable for his or her own actions. We in the sport know that we have to take drug tests and you know some of the other fighters from Mexico tested positive for the same thing then why would you go out and buy that meat anyway and take a chance knowing that you have to take drug tests? You can’t just blame it on the meat.

All you have to do is look at Canelo and you can see it’s suspicious when you look at him. All you have to do is put pictures from about three years ago or two years ago and look at him now and see how big he’s gotten. Look you can see the guy is on drugs, you can see he’s dirty, everybody in the world can see it.

If the proper people don’t take action against this, then boxing is going to be in serious trouble because they’re allowing these guys to take drugs and then they only want to give him like a six month suspension, what’s that? Six months is nothing.
