Just been to see this, really good film about a boxers recovery from brain injury from Paddy Considine.

A really hard watch in a lot of ways, he obviously did a lot of research into the effects of brain trauma and rehabilitation and its extremely believable. Loads of UK boxing faces in there too (see how many you can spot!) and BN branding everywhere and an appearance from Buncey- who manages to get his name into the opening credits somehow!

Fantastic piece of work, one of the best boxing movies ever, do go and see if you get the chance.

No I don't think so. Only at cinema from yesterday. I had to go to HOME (arty cinema in Manchester) to see it as it wasn't on at Odeon or Vue. It might not be easy to get to see until its out on Sky/DVD. Definitely worth it though.

The biggest screen was fine but that tiny one in the basement where it felt like you were going to watch a porno was always a bit naff. It’s only five minutes walk away too.

Nooooo the big screen across the road was okay but the screens in the main building were great. Great atmosphere, great films, great devilled mushrooms on toast. I like HOME plenty too but Cornerhouse was magical.

Worst film I ever saw at the pictures I saw in the tiny screen the size of a living room.

The Man from London. I dare anyone to sit through that terrible movie.

Finally got round to going to see this today. Throughly enjoyed it, both Paddy and Jodie put in great performances, and it had some really touching scenes.

It was quite poignant given the recent events in boxing, and was hard to not imagine of Blackwell and others while watching. It is not a boxing film as you would imagine (blood and gore), but if you are an enthusiast in the industry you will find the story of a fighter interesting/challenging.

On a funnier note, few of the ingle lads are in some scenes (Paddy trained at the gym for the film), Kell Brook is massive in it! I wonder how long ago it was filmed.

Is the main character actually a journeyman? It would be interesting to see a film about that side of the boxing business.

Where do you live?
It won't be in pleb cinemas, you'll need to find an arthouse type.

Yeah i've had a look at a couple of Picturehouses and Everyman cinemas.

Live in Essex but work in Bucks sometimes, so can do anywhere not far off the M25.

Paddy used to train at burton abc gym for years before he became an actor he’s a real nice guy and it’s great the amount of success he’s had it couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy
