I wonder how Joshua feels knowing his promoter is scared to have AJ fight Wilder.

Come on lads I am no massive fan of Joshua, but let's keep it sensible if Hearn doesn't want it wilders team sure as bollocks don't want it they've don't nothing to get this fight any closer!

It's all part of the BS buildup to their fight. The more bullcrap, the higher the net.

Hearn's not scared of throwing anyone to the wolves, he just wants to do it at the most lucrative times. He wants to take out insurance on Wilder with Whyte, so that he maximises profit from Joshua-Wilder if Whyte and then Joshua lose, else he gets to make more money from Joshua-Whyte II.

Joshua might be keen to fight Wilder, he might not, and vice versa. But Hearn's in Joshua's way if he wants Wilder next. I don't blame Wilder for staying at home if he wants Joshua.

I think most of us'd like to see that fight in the summer, with Whyte facing the winner in the autumn. He could fight Miller or Haye (if he beats Bellew) in the meantime, and the winner of that could move forward.

Banning Wilder from entering the ring post fight says it all.

It seems that a lot more is being made of this than it probably should.

I mean, Wilder can be there, adding comments during the fight, he can face off with Joshua after the fight, Joshua can ask him to come into the ring and he'd be allowed to do that.

Klitschko got in the ring with Joshua after Molina because the fight had been arranged. This seems a poor excuse from Wilder.

No he couldn't face off with Joshua after the fight because he was barred from entering the ring. The only reason he wanted to go was to face off with Joshua after the fight but that was shut down by Hearn and Joshua.

I believe Eddie said it was actually the board who wouldn't allow it.

Eddie then said that either man would happily invite wilder into the ring after the fight.

Still sounds to me like a bullshit excuse. If wilder wants the fight he could easily come over, meet with hearn and AJ next week and start proper negotiations.

Completely incorrect but lets just leave it. I'm backing out of these Wilder vs Joshua discussions. On this forum anyway. Shame to see how unbiased people are but it is a Brit forum.

As said above, the board have said as much. I mean, if he was really bothered about it he'd turn up and be at ringside. If Joshua wins Hearn will bring him into the ring.

If he wants to stay in the States fighting in front of about fifteen percent of a Joshua crowd earning less than a fifth of what Joshua makes then he can crack on. But it really does seem like such a feeble excuse.

I mean, can we imagine the following seeming like a reasonable point? 'Everyone knows I really want the Joshua fight. But because I was told I couldn't definitely be in the ring after a fight I now realise that it could never happen so I'm giving all my fans what they really want; a fight against Dominic Breazeale.'

Exactly. It's a really feeble excuse. Wilder talks about wanting the fight but he doesn't seem to realise how weak his position is. He needs to be the one pushing it because he's the B side.

Since when have the board disallowed ring call outs? Can't believe people swallow BS like this.

Who is responsible for granting in-ring access at fights?

I mean, Wilder (who doesn't have a date, location, contract or indeed any agreement whatsoever for a fight with Joshua) appears to be demanding a pass to guarantee he can enter the ring. I don't think they just give those away to anyone do they? Feeble excuse; turn up, call him out afterwards.

Wilder is talking like a guy who wants the fight but acting like a guy who's not bothered.

I cannot remember many British staged fights where a possible future opponent has got in the ring.

If you can name a fight then I will bow to your knowledge.

It is a piss poor excuse from a fighter who doesn't want any part of AJ

Bollocks if he’s not allowed in the ring or not; his main problem is obviously Hearn switching opponents on him after offering him Joshua the last few months.

But I wonder if he’s coming anyway ? shame if not because he was excellent in commentary on the Wlad fight I’m just rewatching..

Jesus, Josh might not have the greatest chin ever, but he’s hard to put away for sure.

i dont feel wilder has to push it, if hearn wants him he then needs to go get him. Wilder after all holds the most prestigious belt, the coveted WBC green one. Joshua will badly want that belt and wilder knows it. im not sure Wilder badly wants Joshuas belts.

And what if Hearn won't negotiate for Joshua yet? If I were Wilder and wanted that fight, I'd want reassurance before travelling that terms were available. Not Whyte; not anyone else; only Joshua.

Joshua looked thoroughly fed up of having to answer the Wilder question.

If Joshua demands it, and it looks that is happening, then Hearn is going to have to deliver it, and soon.

Wilder needs Joshua. Deontay is a titlist, Joshua is the champ.

Chuck in Joshua is where all the money is, Wilder should be doing all he can to land this fight

It's not WWE. Does it make any difference if he's at the fight or not. It's promoters that cause problems with fights. There's no way either of these 2 would not want to fight each other regardless of any cringey WWE style ring face offs or not
