if you have trouble following:

hurd should throw a bunch of punches

williams got throughly outboxed by lara

in reality, the fight wasnt close or even very competitive

it was a bad and consensus robbery, with all judges being suspended

Yea so Williams lost but was effective enough with pressure and output to do some damage. However he is not known as a big puncher and the consensus is he was outboxed which I don’t disagree with having not seen the fight in years. However I remember his getting to Lara at least which is An achievement. Also a pressure fighter Hurd, should pressure Lara. I’m sure he doesn’t have the volume that Williams had unless he’s on the gear. If he’s able to let his hands go to the body and head enough when in range and not be frustrated by the movement and has the tenacity he showed in the trout fight I feel he’ll pose problems if not hurt Lara. Of course he has to be able to take the sharp counters. Interesting fight....do you follow?

i never didnt follow mate, just disagreed with that williams vs lara was close, and to me saying williams was getting to lara makes it sound more competitive then it really was

ya, good fight, if hurd wins would love to see him fight charlo. i doubt charlo vs lara happens as there training partners with the same trainer.

I could see a bad decision, going in the favor of Hurd.

Lara vs. Hurd Undercard: Ava Knight, Ahmed Mahmood in Action

As part of undercard action Saturday, April 7 at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas - Ava Knight (14-2-4, 5KOs) meets Mayela Perez (19-21, 10KOs) in six-round flyweight bout and Ahmed Mahmood (7-0-1, 3KOs) takes on Sharone Carter (8-2, 2KOs) in an eight-round featherweight match.

As previously reported, the always exciting Alfredo "El Perro" Angulo squares off against former world champion Sergio "The Latin Snake" Mora in an eight-round super middleweight battle while unbeaten Emanuel Medina (13-0, 9 KOs) battles Saul Corral (27-10, 18 KOs) in an eight-round welterweight clash

Angulo (24-6, 20 KOs), a rugged veteran with a resume that includes battles with world champions like Erislandy Lara and Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, is looking to rebound from a knockout loss to Freddy Hernandez in his last fight. Angulo was born in Mexicali, Mexico but lives and trains in California.

Mora (28-5-2, 9 KOs) is a former 154-pound champion who has clashed with some of the biggest names in boxing during his career, including Shane Mosley, Vernon Forrest and Daniel Jacobs. In his last fight the 37-year-old Mora of Los Angeles lost by TKO to Jacobs in a middleweight championship rematch.

Didn't even know they were fighting on the undercard honestly.

I think that matchup probably favors Mora. Both ain't what they used to be, but Mora has always taken a pretty good shot, and he's a slicker, quicker, defense first kinda guy.

Angulo is a hard puncher, but is slow and ponderous. Though Mora ain't as fast as he used to be, and Angulo ain't as dangerous as he used to be, I think Mora will have enough to outbox Angulo and take a decision.

I can see Angulo having his moments in the fight though, and for some reason I can see blood running down Mora's face at some point. Either as a result of a punch or a headbutt, but I still think he'll survive and take a decision over Alfredo.

Hurd should fight Kovalev or Stevenson, maybe Usyk or Gassiev. Let us be serious, this kind of making weight have to be very harmful for the fighter's health. I am not a medical expert, but the common sense would be enough here.
