So who WILL it be?
It seems to me that the plan is for Whyte to face Povetkin next and they basically just called out Wilder at the same time as telling him they won't fight him, so who is next for Joshua?
Hoping to get come backing Fury early?

Re: So who WILL it be?
Povetkin is mandatory now.
Re: So who WILL it be?
Whyte, fair play calling out Povetkin, reckon he could do it - forget Wilder for now, at home hiding behind his cushion
Fury needs 3 fights, 2 bums and a half decent opponent

The Joshua Wilder fight will never be bigger than it is now. Go for it

Wilder fought a fat tomato can in Stiverne and took his first real risk in his career against a 52 year old Oztiz, who he knew would gas. If he engaged if he did might get KOed, close he nearly didtiny_acres wrote: ↑31 Mar 2018, 20:10Hearn won'trossij8 wrote: ↑31 Mar 2018, 20:09Wilder won'ttiny_acres wrote: ↑31 Mar 2018, 19:58 The Joshua Wilder fight will never be bigger than it is now. No lies, why would they? Wilder is shite, one punch and awkward cos he's shite, nothing else
Re: So who WILL it be?
You honestly think Wilder is sh@t? And calling Ortiz 52? Why? How? It just doesn't have any sense of reality. Thought you were smarter then that.rossij8 wrote: ↑31 Mar 2018, 20:23Wilder fought a fat tomato can in Stiverne and took his first real risk in his career against a 52 year old Oztiz, who he knew would gas. I honestly think Wilder is still unproven, shite might be harsh but he hasn't convinced me yet - he has power fair play but you need to go in to the trenches at some point.oogiebe wrote: ↑31 Mar 2018, 20:26You honestly think Wilder is sh@t? Ortiz's real age is dubious and that has been said by many
For the record, a fit Fury beats both - I think Whyte gives Wilder his toughest test and even AJ to a degree now as he has massively improved
Re: So who WILL it be?
Ok, that I can accept. Whyte is not in the league of AJ and Wilder and maybe not Parker. He's overrated IMHO. Wilder will continue to be learning as he is still raw which makes him all the more interesting and fun to watch. Anyone who has a lights out punch is a dangerous opponent. I actually liked seeing AJ go the distance. He pulled a Lennox Lewis...why take risks when I can win fairly easily. PS: Ortiz age is legit. So is Wlad. Thanks for the reply...well done.rossij8 wrote: ↑31 Mar 2018, 20:41I honestly think Wilder is still unproven, shite might be harsh but he hasn't convinced me yet - he has power fair play but you need to go in to the trenches at some point.oogiebe wrote: ↑31 Mar 2018, 20:26You honestly think Wilder is sh@t? Re: So who WILL it be?
Wilder has the physical attributes to steamroll Joshua, I think it'll be the pressure that undoes him. I'd back him if they fought in a small hall. As it is, I'd make Joshua the 1/3 favourite.
Wilder has the weaker chin from what we've seen, but faster recovery unless you flatten him. I don't mean to compare Joshua to Bruno for the millionth time...

Re: So who WILL it be?
Ortiz was 38 and an undefeated Olympian.rossij8 wrote: ↑31 Mar 2018, 20:23Wilder fought a fat tomato can in Stiverne and took his first real risk in his career against a 52 year old Oztiz, who he knew would gas. If he engaged if he did might get KOed, close he nearly did

You give Joshua a pass for beating a 41 year old exchamp who hadn't won a fight in 2 years.
You're a real piece of work with your twists

Re: So who WILL it be?
Ortiz could be anywhere from 38 to his mid-forties, but I think it's enough to have a ballpark range. I.e. yes, he'd probably have fared better had he been 30, but he wasn't. And he was quite good.
Re: So who WILL it be?
No twists, Wilder will come undone once he fights a proper HW who isn't going to gastiny_acres wrote: ↑31 Mar 2018, 20:52Ortiz was 38 and an undefeated Olympian.rossij8 wrote: ↑31 Mar 2018, 20:23Wilder fought a fat tomato can in Stiverne and took his first real risk in his career against a 52 year old Oztiz, who he knew would gas. No pass for Joshua, I agree with what you say IMO Fury beats him if fit
And Wilder .

Re: So who WILL it be?
I assumed (or hoped) Joshua would fight Povetkin next, Wilder would fight Whyte next, and the winners would meet.
Re: So who WILL it be?
I think Povitkin will beat Joshua.
If Joshua can't land his jab or right hand consistently on Parker, what chance does he have with Povitkin?

Re: So who WILL it be?
IDK Kiwi...Parker not engaging enough makes it tough on the other guy to look good. Povetkin doesn't move nearly as much as Parker but has way more power. I'd love to see it, but after Joshua/Wilder.

Re: So who WILL it be?
Povetkin would be a real test for anyone. He can bang and has a chin.
Re: So who WILL it be?
Sam...what did you predict for Joshua/Parker?
