Jesus Yoel :o

I thought going in that Rockhold was in with a chance because Romero took the fight on short notice and he is not a cardio machine with a full camp. Romero' wrestling as long as he was not exhausted was always going to negate Luke's ground game which is his biggest strength and Luke's lack of striking defence was always going to leave an opportunity for Yoel to explode and land something big. Bring on Whittaker v Romero 2.

The MW division must be very thankful that Yoel isn't 30 because even at 40 Yoel might be the best athlete the UFC has ever seen.

Weidman saying he deserves the shot because Whittaker has beaten Yoel and he is coming off a win. :o I think Yoel, Rockhold and Mousasi have given him brain damage.

Liam Mcgeary about got his leg kicked off by some young, undefeated, two time Sambo champ named Vadim Nemkov. And Mitrione won a majority decision over Big Country to further him in the HW Gran Prix.

Thought the Pitbull fight could have gone on a tad bit longer.... but the dude was totally covering up, so what do I know.

Fergason out injured. Champion Max Holloway stepping up a division to face Khabib and the UFC have now put the LW belt up for grabs.

Holloway is out. Looking to get Pettis to step in.

I heard Ortega was offered the fight if Holloway declined. I'd rather see that.

It's Khabib vs Iaquinta now.
Commission was ridiculous during the whole thing. They also stopped Max fighting because of the way he looked not as a result of a medical examination.

Crazy few days. Tonight mark's the 11th year anniversary when Serra upset GSP. Would be wild if Serra's pupil is able to do the same. I hope not...

I hope not as well but you never know. Khabib does seem totally unphased by everything that's happened though.

Khabib vs Ortega would be really interesting though. I wonder if Ortega would be able to put Khabib in a bit of danger once it hit the mat? I'd actually love to see that fight, Ortega and Halloway are massive FWs.

It's really hard to know just how good Khabibs grappling is, his training partners say it's unbelievable and there is a least 1 video floating around where he submits a real high level BJJ black belt(can't remember his name but he is legit) with ease.

Pretty dominant performance from Khabib today. It was slightly underwhelming because we have such high expectations of him but he did stand and strike with Al and beat him up on the feet despite what Rogan was saying.

Rogan is awful. Pretty decent card though.

Stage is now set for Dana's wet dream.

Pay off the injured fighters and get Conor off the hook with limited time away. Conor vs. Khabib in the most massive UFC PPV to date with Floyd making his debut as co-main against a no-hoper with the intent of Floyd vs the Conor/Khabib winner in another massive PPV.

Suprised no one has mentioned the Bochniak vs Zabit bout. What a great clash of styles. Looking forward to seeing both guys again, Zabit is silky smooth.... saw him pull off a lovely jab hook a few times.... cant recall seeing it in an mma fight before....

There are some very poor decisions on this card. The only reason Waterson and Israel won is because they were "supposed" to. Pretty bad judging. At least the main and co-main shouldn't see the final bell.

I feel bad for Gaethje. He's so entertaining but all this abuse is going to have consequences. He needs to learn at least some semblance of defense or every fight will be like this, where he can wear his opponents down but is still always 1 bad exchange away from getting KO'd.

I feel guilty watching him fight because I know the damage he's taking on.

With his ferocious leg kicks and wrestling background he would likely be much more successful as a ground and pounder from round 2 on, but he insists on standing and banging. After brutalizing his last two opponents legs so badly, I think he would have won if he'd shot a couple take downs and delivered damage from a dominant position.
