There is of course the chance for either landing the perfect punch for the KO win but that's quite unlikely to happen. Both have great chins.

Canelo can't fight for full 3 minutes in rounds. He doesn't have the stamina for that. GGG can't catch Canelo who's going to be on hes bike for the whole fight. GGG being the more active of the two should win the rounds just like the last time. Official verdict can be whatever the vegas crooks wan't it to be.

If I ever wanted fight to end in KO this would be the one
GGG needs to push the pace right away this time, instead of waiting a couple of rounds.
Will Canelo fight like the true Mexican warrior he says he is, or embarass his countrymen by running and doing his best Floyd imitation?

I think GGG will win the decision by 9 to 3 in rounds in reality, but by split decision on the cards.
Fighting smart and doing your best to win, instead of charging in and getting KOed, is not embarrassing.

Canelo can beat GGG, but not by going toe to toe, he has to counter.

tbh i thought canelo won most exchanges there actually were. his problem was that in many rounds he had long dead periods where ggg stayed at it whle clenelo dd nothing but jerk his head and torso around

clenelo to me seemed the better 'boxer' clearly but ggg just had that work horse in him

I think Alvarez has the ability to over power GGG. This was evident in the first fight. I think he played it safe (fighting in Floyd Mayweather fashion). I believe that he thought he was winning (in my opinion he was) and didn't go for a knockout, or a greater level of domination. He missed his chance in the 10th rd when GGG went off balance with a missed right hand. Alvarez was just sitting back like...."oh, he lost his balance?". Hagler would have been all over that! I think GGG was frustrated and all he could do was chase, even though he was getting ripped with counter punches. To win Alvarez needs to throw more 3,4,5 punch combinations and stay with it when he connects well, even though it can be dangerous with GGG. GGG needs to do more than chase. He needs to cut Alvarez off and fight him closer, using his jab to gain position and set up, again, multi punch combinations, although in the first fight GGG got hurt trying to move in on Alvarez. I predict a great fight because both guys know they need to be convincing to win, no playing it safe!

Manager: Derevyanchenko Ready to Sub for Canelo, Fight Golovkin

“Sergiy is willing and able to fight Triple-G if the fight with Canelo falls through,” Keith Connolly, Derevyanchenko’s manager, told BS.com. “Sergiy is Triple-G’s only mandatory that isn’t currently busy. [Jermall] Charlo has a fight April 21 [against Hugo Centeno Jr.], so he’s busy. And as far as Demetrius Andrade goes, he is B.J. Saunders’ mandatory [for the WBO title], not Triple-G’s. On top of that, Andrade is a safety-first fighter. Nobody wants to see that. Triple-G and Sergiy, on the other hand, would be a mouthwatering, all-action fight that would be TV-friendly.”

“I find it comical Andrade would even be considered for this fight over Sergiy,” Connolly said. “Andrade is the same guy that backed out of fighting Sergiy a few months ago because he didn’t have enough time [to prepare], supposedly. Now, all of a sudden, he says he’s constantly in the gym and always ready.”

Billy Joe Saunders, Demetrius Andrade, Sergiy Derevyanchenko and Gary ‘Spike’ O’Sullivan have all stated their availability to face GGG on Cinco de Mayo if Canelo is suspended. The only fighter, based on what I've read, that I'd expect to jump at this opportunity, that hasn't offered their services, is Daniel Jacobs.

Yeh, you're right.. When's his fight due for? April 27?

I think Eddie wants it on his times, they definitely want their own show to go as planned and not cancel that.

Canelo Hit With NSAC Complaint, Hearing is Now on April 18

The Nevada State Athletic Commission has canceled a planned hearing on Friday, with respect to the temporary suspension of Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, and have now filed an official complaint against the boxer.

The disciplinary hearing, which was scheduled for April 10, is now going forward on April 18. The news was first reported by MMA Fighting.

“After completing my investigation, I made the determination to file a complaint against Mr. Alvarez and set the matter for a disciplinary hearing during the Commission’s regularly scheduled meeting on April 18th. Therefore, I am cancelling the hearing that was scheduled for Friday, March 30th," stated NSAC executive director Bob Bennett.

Chavez Jr. is Latest To Raise His Hand, Offer To Face GGG on May 5

Several boxers have already made it known that they are willing to replace Canelo - as it appears very unlikely that he'll be fighting in May.

Some of the boxers include Demetrius Andrade, Jaime Munguia, Spike O'Sullivan - and the most recent has been Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

According to multiple sources in Mexico, Chavez Jr. (50-3-1, 32 KOs) has stated that he's willing to replace Canelo and fight Golovkin in May - but at the super middleweight limit of 168.

A Golovkin vs. Chavez Jr. fight - at 168 - was in serious talks a few years ago, but the negotiations fell apart as the Mexican boxer was having legal issues with Top Rank, who promoted him at the time.

Chavez is likely above 200 lbs now, so it is highly unlikely that he could fight under 175 in a month.

Yep, Saunders been eyeing this fight since GGG-Canelo 1, and i'm sure he's been looking past Murray for this fight.

Saunders who is an accomplished and in-prime middleweight champion, is the much more important legacy fight anyway,

No, he likes to talk but then makes unreasonable demands. Loefler already ruled him out.

No, unreasonable demands is asking for too much money or a different date like this guy:

Does it matter that much? I don't see how a slightly later date, so we can get an in shape Saunders and a meaningfull match, is that bad, especially when for all the belts on the line.

Slightly??? He says that he wants to fight in September. However, ANY date change is problematic, because you may fall on the same date with another major fight, plus there may be a problem with finding a proper venue. Also, new Jordan apparel campaign has started aiming at May 5th. We don't know all components which would be affected with a date change.
