...in the "modern" era i'd say my un-favorite marciano. in fact i'm surprised he wasn't among the very first to be mentioned....and when his name finally appeared it was followed by a question mark. he was as fresh in the late rounds as he was in the first, which was one factor that made him successful. his longest fight was fifteen rounds...against charles...so there's no record of longer fights to compare him with fighters from the earlier era, but look at him in any match and you'll see what i mean.

i think this made him the perfect opponent to beat older , better fighters. he just kept pounding and coming on...never a sign of fatigue.

I mentioned him before the post with the question mark. Probably hard to catch however. I know I Don't have time to read every word.

've ehard the stories about Greb and Monzon and you have to wonder if the stories of these guys missing training have been exaggerated. They were playboy types and maybe did a few things they shouldn't have but Monzon always looks in great condition to me.
Its easier to believe with Monzon; he was such a calm and cool character in the ring he never seemed to exert that much energy.
I think Greb was just a borderline maniac.

Actually, I think Greb fought so often that he didn't need much training.

Of the more modern era's the young Ali could have boxed all night and then guys like Emile Griffith, Eder Jofre or a little older Cocoa Kid...they were all fighters who if needed could fight round after round after round.
