Butler vs. Rodriguez IBF Title Fight To Be Added To Bellew-Haye II
PAUL BUTLER has finally secured a shot at another world title.
The Ellesmere Port bantamweight will fight Emmanuel Rodriguez next month for the vacant IBF world title.
But ‘The Baby Faced Assassin’, 29, will come up against the Puerto Rican, for the belt left behind by Belfast’s Ryan Burnett recently, on May 5.

Anyone from the forum going to this? I'm sorely tempted as I'm in London for work that week. More interested in the Cox vs Ryder scrap, but just want to get a much-needed fix of live boxing.

Zzzzzzzz wake me up when these 2 masters of talking shite fight someone decent instead of each other. Those 2 sum up everything wrong with boxing. Money grabbing gob5hites!

I think Hayes suffering similar to eubank junior. In that he can't throw the straight right hand effectively with the shoulder injury. Its a difficult thing to overcome in a boxing ring...outside of the jab the straight rights your number 2 punch. Dictates a lot of things you can and can't do. Probably footage of him using it but against bellew and the training clips everything was looped or hooked.
Does help explain why he fought so stupidly the first fight and why eubank junior can only really fight one way. I don't see haye having much chance tbh...its too debilitating of an injury. I think he knows it this time as well as tony does.
He,ll end up fighting the same way throwing from too far out. Needing too work too hard and eventually tire. When tony gets him out of there. Although he struggled to stop hate the first time hate went pretty defensive for a lot of it. He,ll get caught in the exchange when tired later in the fight this time imo. Looks like he knows it this time round as well.

even looking awful and wild haye was up 4-1, it was the leg that did it, not the shoulder or an inability to throw straights
hayes body may go again, but please not this revionist crap like bellew had been bossing it all along. ffs bellew had almost totally gone into a survival shell by the time hayes achilles blew, the fight had been turning in hayes favour more

Agree with this. Haye may have had injuries but it's not the same things happening again and again.jamamb wrote: ↑20 Apr 2018, 06:36 even looking awful and wild haye was up 4-1, it was the leg that did it, not the shoulder or an inability to throw straights
