Re: Ken, the Boxer
What was Ken's main problem?
Re: Ken, the Boxer
Well Ken Clean Air System's problem was that he slept a little more than he should've, and couldn't find an appropriate opponent. They had this guy fighting little girls FFS ![[icon_e_biggrin.gif] :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)

Re: Ken, the Boxer
I didn't enjoy it.... It's the standard comedy sketch that depicts boxers as brainless subhumans who look to the house cat for guidance -- because the cat is 10 times as smart as anyone gets in a ring and gets his brains beaten out...
I also never liked "Requiem for a Heavyweight" .... "Somebody Up There Likes Me" and "Raging Bull" .... Rocky Graziano and Jake LaMotta (who were friends) weren't as stupid as they were portrayed by Newman and De Niro.

I don't find Newman or De Niro to be portraying Graziano or Lamotta as stupid in those movies. Now Requiem for a Heavyweight is obviously about a punchy Heavyweight who was no good for anything else except fighting. Still a solid movie, but certainly depressing.Kalan wrote: ↑06 Apr 2018, 15:33 I didn't enjoy it.... The Monty Python thing is just meant to be silly. I don't take it as an insult to boxers, just a bit of absurdity.
