I don't mind Benn as such but I wish to fukk Sky would just call him for what he is and stop trying to make him out to be the second coming of his old man! If he's lucky and sticks at it he'll get to British level and be in some fun fights but until then Sky shouldn't be giving him the build up he's been getting so far! Does fukk all for him!Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑04 Apr 2018, 12:55Thought Benn was gonna rematch Peynaud? Or is that after this?

Sky's hype for Benn is outrageous
and unwarranted
Re: Amir Khan vs. Phil Lo Greco - April 21st 2018
They're not putting him in with that last guy right away because there's a fair chance he goes life and death again so they know his level! That won't be reflected in their build up and commentary though in his next bout! They'll be blowing smoke up his chorus as per usual! Fuckin nauseating!

He lost to that frenchie, who was on a losing record at barely Euro level. 5-4-3
I don't even think he could get a title at British level without a serious amount of improvement.
And yet the media is still blowing smoke up his arse.
Truman is 33 and ranked 77th in the UK.
Safety first I guess

How long the wait is for someone to show him up again, who knows.
He should avoid a British title shot for sure. Not even sure the Euro belt will be an option if Skeete prevails. At UK level Gavin, Kelly, Skeete, and even a 33 year old Hibbert would jab his face off and put him to bed.
Who knows, he is young and has the sway to get good training and sparring.

Khan brought back a lot of interest in boxing and thats a fact. OK he has avoided British fighters and he isnt the sensation people thought he would be but he has been in some exciting fights.Boxerbeetle wrote: ↑10 Jan 2018, 09:29Where does Khan feature in your January 2018 P4P list? Can someone explain why and how??
From what I see the guy is a complete idiot, been down on the canvas in more positions than a German porn star and spent the last 5 years wanking (sometimes publicly) over a potential fight with FMJ.
Why does this guy get the time of day that he does? Baffles me

Re: Amir Khan vs. Phil Lo Greco - April 21st 2018
I get what your saying....but weird in that le Greco is so far off the level it will just end up getting slaughtered as a mismatch. Obviously it wasn't gonna be a dangerous opponent first one back. But le greco is terrible and looks terrible to even the most casual of fan for that level.Syntax Error wrote: ↑04 Apr 2018, 05:44It's not a weird choice.
Khan isn't serious about boxing & only wants a payday, hence him peeing away his prime years for no good reason.
Now the Golden Goose aka Mayweather Jr has 'died', the faint hope he had of a mega payday he was ridiculously chasing is gone.
He's now taking the David Haye route back, whereby he will knock over a couple mannequins whilst trying to pretend he is serious about boxing.
Lo Greco is pants & has minus zero chance of beating him & that is why it is the perfect choice of opponent for Amir.
Surprised they,ve not went for someone at least nearer the level. Khan would still have won and looked good doing it. Hayes problem was he was the promoter...anyone half decent would have wanted a fortune to fight him on a relatively small promotion every level up would have meant him getting less money for the fight. But surely hearn could have got someone reasonably decent that khan would have still beat in. Looks a completely pointless fight to me.

Re: Amir Khan vs. Phil Lo Greco - April 21st 2018
Connor Benn in the main has been fighting light welterweights since moving himself to Welterweight. Paynaud I think was one of the first guys he fought, who has fought most of his recent fights weighing 145lbs plus. Clearly they have had to revert back to the lighter guys to try and give Benn that advantage. It can't last forever and I think the wheels will come off soon, it's just a case of picking who does it.
Re: Amir Khan vs. Phil Lo Greco - April 21st 2018
Benn hasn’t even fought anything past a scheduled 6 rounder and they’ve bought chris trueman in because on paper his record is ok but he has lost his last few,not many stoppage wins and has fought mainly at light welter

Natasha Jonas vs. Viviane Obenauf on the undercard.
Obenauf lost on points to Taylor and got stopped by Cameron...

Looking forward to seeing Khan back, boxing does miss him here I think despite the depth of talent we have, he bored me with the whole lusting over Mayweather and Pacquaio and the Brook saga pissed me off too but when he fights he's walways great value, he's either getting tagged and hurt or putting on a masterclass
You wonder if he's starting to slow, getting a bit older and has had no momentum in his career for about 5 years, the Canelo KO was sickening but he's come back from bad KOs before and getting KOd by a MW like Alvarez shouldn't dishearting him too much
Lo Greco is a tough fighter he takes the fight to guys and he is exactly the type of opponent that can trouble Khan who can struggle against rugged fighters, even in the Spence loss Lo Greco was pouring it all on, its whether Khan will be sharp enough to use his superior skills to hold Lo Greco off, keep moving and get off his fast counters all the way through the fight without slowing
Logic says even after the inactivity that Khan is by far a better boxer than Lo Greco but you never know with Khan he had some wars In fights he was meant to win comfortably , I think he'll win but I think he's gonna be glad to hear the final bell, maybe a similar showing to Frampton's last fight against Garcia

I see Khan boxing around Lo Greco. May get a knockdown, or could see Lo Greco quitting.. But should be a wide decision.. Kinda like the Alexander or Collazo fight.handsofstone wrote: ↑16 Apr 2018, 03:59 Looking forward to seeing Khan back, boxing does miss him here I think despite the depth of talent we have, he bored me with the whole lusting over Mayweather and Pacquaio and the Brook saga pissed me off too but when he fights he's walways great value, he's either getting tagged and hurt or putting on a masterclass

Was Joe Goosen a boxer, amateur or pro? Just curious, genuinely don’t know.

is that fernando vargas?

It's embarrassing that Benn hasn't re-matched Cedrick Peynaud. A guy with 5 wins and 5 losses.
It says it all about Benn dodging a 5 win 5 loss fighter, but I guess that's his level. The Benns are just trying to milk the public and if people are dumb enough to fall for it. Then why not I guess?
