Good card then if true
The yanks are trying to stack these cards with 3 solid fights at the top of the card so if one pull out there is still a decent main and co-main left...

I just can't see anything other than a Traux win tbh, I have said for years that Jim McDonnell was the wrong coach for James Degale. The advice given is never constructive or something that can help James turn things round. Not just the fact that he is still with Jim but imo he has looked worse for wear since the Dirrell fight which was nearly 3 years ago and it could be that the war with Badou Jack has taken what was left of Degale.

Degale did underestimate Truax but his style would be difficult for Degale in any circumstance.

I have a feelinig Truax wins again. Degale might just be over the hill after unjuries and back to back tough fights. I feel like Degale never quite performed upto his potential. He looks absolutely brilliant in flashes or for select fights. But just can never sustain it.

This seems to have come around really quickly, will be interesting to see how much DeGale has left.

I never realised this fight was this weekend and on the same card as the Lara/Hurd unification :yay:

DeGale's gonna need to put in a better performance this time, a lot more finesse and a lot more activity, he was hurt several times in the 1st fight and was bullied all night, he did show his heart again but he's gonna have to learn how to box clever for 12 rounds without gassing against the ropes., he seems to always be injured whether it be during the fight or in training, if he's not fully fit and the right hand is still giving him grief then Truax will do the exact same as before

Its whether DeGale comes in fit how I see this fight panning out, even fully fit I still see Truax's bustling style to give him problems and TBH as much as I like DeGale's ability and gonads, he always struggles in fights, granted he's fighting at top level but I just think Truax will bully him as he did in the 1st fight for a repeat decision

I was surprised to see it on the undercard of Lara/Hurd myself. I expected it'd be in the U.K. again for some reason.

DeGale should win this on points. He has the talent and pedigree.

But is he fully fit?

Is he on the slide?

I don’t for a second think he’s fit. He’s clearly on the slide. And Malinaggi in to help ‘slow him down’ sounds a recipe for disaster.

True, but let's remember Ali/Frazier Ali/Norton, Zale/Graziano, Bowe/Holyfield, etc., This one can go either way IMHO. I'm taking DeGale by DEC. Maybe I'm sentimental.

It can certainly happen. It's a 50/50 matchup to me, I just figure that Degale's flaws as a fighter are so well established and Truax has already beaten him once that if anything he'll be even more confident and sure of what he needs to do to win.

We'll see though.

I need to watch Ali/Norton 2 here sometime soon, I've never gotten around to watching that one, but I thought Norton beat Ali in the 3rd fight and got screwed.

Truax by clear decision.

He's probably always been a bit underrated.

That quick blowout loss to Dirrell damaged his reputation, but sometimes you get caught cold.

Going almost the distance with Jacobs and losing a decision to Taylor is probably a better indicator of Truax' toughness.

DeGale certainly looked like a worn fighter in their first fight.

Truax bullied and pressured him, a strategy that DeGale always abhors.

I don't see any reason why Truax will fight differently this time. And he'll have a lot more confidence knowing he got the job done on foreign soil in the first fight last December.

He should be sky high while DeGale might have plenty doubts whether he still has what it takes.

Truax should win even more widely this time, maybe even stopping DeGale late.

Surprisingly DeGale is a solid 1-4 favorite, so Truax still has to make believers out of the boxing public.

Ok, but I have to get +275 back on my bitcoin if Truax wins. Those are the official odds.

Wait, one veteran poster (award winning) discussed gambling and he suddenly disappeared from here.

Never heard from again. Either eliminated by the mob for gambling debts or maybe just banned for floating the subject.

Maybe we can just trade old comic books at 1-4. I've got some valuable 60s Marvels buried somewhere in my garage.

Nine times out of 10, after a steady beat down, the rematch is gonna see the same winner.

But what the hell I like the idea of DG slowing down a bit, picking his spots and just out pointing this guy - he’s got the class to do it ..why not ? I’ll go DG points.

How the hell is Lara getting a million ?! I didn’t know he was box office

Challenger away from home - good enough in current times in the US - monies are not what they once were. Al Haymon cash machine has dried up.
