I don't think this fight is even worth a thread honestly, but Charr's gonna win.

I can't believe anyone was desperate enough to bid 600k.
Charr wins easily

Re: Manuel Charr (c) vs. Fres Oquendo - TBA
Charr, and only because Oquendo has never been a good enough fighter to remain inactive for 4 years and come back at age 45.
At least not against a fringe contender like Charr. ( I'm ignoring his claim to being heavyweight champion. It's too bogus)
In his prime however, Oquendo probably would have spanked him.

Re: Manuel Charr (c) vs. Fres Oquendo - TBA
What in the fornicating fornicate? How is Oquendo getting a major title shot?
Re: Manuel Charr (c) vs. Fres Oquendo - TBA
You're not familiar with this? The WBA owes him one because of a court case thing. It's just taken like 3 and a half years and running now to actually happen.
Charr is like the 4th or 5th opponent that's been named for Fres. Several of the fights for Fres have already been scheduled and fell through. He was gonna fight Briggs last year, but Briggs tested positive for PED's.
I honestly don't know how this being a WBA Title fight doesn't instantly destroy the WBA and render them meaningless on the spot.
I mean how can you have a "World Title" fight between 2 guys who aren't in the Top 20 and be a serious "World Title"
It's an absolute joke.

Re: Manuel Charr (c) vs. Fres Oquendo - TBA
How come Joshua, who always says that he wants all the title belts, never mentions anything about going after Charr's prestigious world championship?
Re: Manuel Charr (c) vs. Fres Oquendo - TBA
Now it's a title defense for Charr? When did he ever win a title? Did they literally just hand him one?
And also...Jesus Tapdancing Christ, the Fres Oquendo title shot soap opera has gotta be approaching the world record for the most drawn out attempt by one guy to get a title shot that's EVER been in the sport. This has gotta be like the 14th purse bid they've had regarding a Fres Oquendo WBA Title match.
And why the hell did it ever fall through in the first place. Do they just not even wanna see this sh*t in Russia, and nobody can sell tickets to it anywhere?
Just so they can get it off the ground enough to sell tickets they might wind up having to match Fres up against somebody that's gonna slaughter him like Luis Ortiz or Povetkin or something
Re: Manuel Charr (c) vs. Fres Oquendo - TBA
Agreed, but we are posting aren't we! Charr will win easily IMHO. BTW Epic...Charr is in fact World Boxing Association Heavyweight Title, Joshua is Super HW titlist, so there! (pathetic)
so it will be exciting as watching leaves fall from trees in the summer. zzzzzzZZZZZZ
Re: Manuel Charr (c) vs. Fres Oquendo - TBA
Nah I think Joshua is just the "Super" Champion right. Which means he's the championoogiebe wrote: ↑06 Apr 2018, 18:26Agreed, but we are posting aren't we! Charr will win easily IMHO. Re: Manuel Charr (c) vs. Fres Oquendo - TBA
I really hate it that shortly after I became a Boxing fan the WBO gained prominence as a meaningful World Title. It already sucked bad enough when there were 3 sanctioning bodies then they had to go on and throw a 4th one in there
It's basically gotten to a point where you should just ignore the belts. Whoever the #1 guy is that's the man to beat. Belt or no belt.

We could and should but we need a source to look to. It used to be Ring Magazine, I don't know who or what it is today. I guess it's me!!!gilgamesh wrote: ↑06 Apr 2018, 19:00 I really hate it that shortly after I became a Boxing fan the WBO gained prominence as a meaningful World Title. This is the best example of an accurate, and objective Rankings with credibility that you'll find I thinkoogiebe wrote: ↑06 Apr 2018, 19:03We could and should but we need a source to look to. I like to think we do a pretty good job over at TTR too. I keep rankings for all the weight classes personally, and try my best to keep up with all the significant happenings in the sport. Some of my biggest wishes for the sport is that we could lose 3 of the title orgs, and 7 of the weight classes
Wishful thinking I know
Re: Manuel Charr (c) vs. Fres Oquendo - TBA
I'm with you. I briefly went over to that site and I liked it. Glad to see 'last week' column in ratings. Unfortunately we're not going to 'lose' any BS sanctioning bodies anytime soon.gilgamesh wrote: ↑06 Apr 2018, 19:23This is the best example of an accurate, and objective Rankings with credibility that you'll find I thinkoogiebe wrote: ↑06 Apr 2018, 19:03We could and should but we need a source to look to. Re: Manuel Charr (c) vs. Fres Oquendo - TBA
why is transnational any better then the ring, boxing news, etc in terms of the actual rankings
for example by what measure can anyone think nate gallimore is already the #5 in the world at 154? and he was as high as #4 before.
its pretty sad if a so called group of 50 experts actually agreed on that

HAHAHAHA!!! (I knew Gilgamesh's last post would invite this). I was going to scan through and comment, but I abstained. The ratings are better than most and as good as anyone's.jamamb wrote: ↑06 Apr 2018, 19:36 why is transnational any better then the ring in terms of the actual rankings
