Lara could easily be undefeated

I don't even fancy the guy or his style but truth be told, you can argue he won against Williams. Both Canelo and Hurd fights were close enough that it could have been a draw or split the other way.

Definitely think he beat Paul Williams but I had Hurd winning 115-112. Not much controversy on that one, way over the majority of people thinks Hurd won that fight

Hurd clearly won. Of course if Lara owned some judges like Canelo/DLH, he would be undefeated.

I have to agree. Anyone saying Lara won was listening to the commentary too much. Been seeing too many respected posters giving the fight to Hurd. Lara, at best, got a draw.

A loss is still loss when most people considered him the loser in the fights he tasted defeat in.

But he should have a loss against Carlos Molina.

i agree, thats a bit of a forgotten fight for some reason but molina imo unlucky not to get it

on the other hand, i did think lara clearly beat vanes in there draw and williams fight was a horrible robbery. imo those deffo shouldve been to lara.

the hurd and canelo fights were fair decisions even though very veryy close fights

Lara's record is what it is.

He's never been consistent enough to be undefeated.

I watched the fight just now for the first time without knowing the winner in spanish commentary. But i dont speak spanish so whatever they were saying couldnt cloud my judgement. I was actually slightly rooting for lara as I usually root for the slick boxer and I would have also bet on Lara if I were to bet on the fight. However as the scores were read I was really scared they would steal it from Hurd so I was really happy when they said Hurd won. In my opinion Hurd was the clear winner. Lara landed the cleaner punches in a coupe of the early rounds but he seemed to fade and not offer much other than defence later in the fight. Hurd looked wayyy bigger and stronger. And Lara a little flatter(or maybe older???) than usual

:TU:

I don't think Hurd's domination had anything to do with Lara's age. He just did what Angulo did a few years earlier -- relentless pressure with good cutting off the ring, but did it better than Angulo and avoided getting pocked into an eye.

I try to forget his fight with Canelo.
That was a waste of an hour of my life

I don't think he beat Canelo but it was close enough that I have no issues with people thinking he did. I do think Carlos Molina beat him though. I couldn't believe he was losing to Angulo until that freak accident.

You can argue about Williams, but I thought Hurd and Canelo both won (clear and close, respectively).

Molina also beat him easy (I think I had it somewhere around 8-4ish), but Lara was on the night end of a gift in that one.

The first Martirosyan fight was close enough to go either way, too.

I think as easily as Lara could be undefeated, hed be just as likely to have at least 1 more loss on his record instead.

Yeah, but he's not. If I had wings I could fly...(that would be cool, actually)
