AJ's Great Offer
Re: AJ's Great Offer
wilder and povetkin both have good records by todays standards, and id say there both among the most deserving of an aj payday, but with the belt and by far the biggest win eithers scored lately wilders more deserving, and oh ya, hes simply a better fighter and far more exciting of an opponent then povetkin
.povetkin , whyte , miller, and pulev or breazeale should fight a tournament and leave the top dogs for each other

Re: AJ's Great Offer
Sounds like a good idea while wilder and joshua have their 2 fights the rest have a knockout competition last man standing fights the winner if the two fights, but what happens if AJ beats Wilder in U.K and Wilder beats AJ in US?jamamb wrote: ↑10 Apr 2018, 09:17 wilder and povetkin both have good records by todays standards, and id say there both among the most deserving of an aj payday, but with the belt and by far the biggest win eithers scored lately wilders more deserving, and oh ya, hes simply a better fighter and far more exciting of an opponent then povetkin

Re: AJ's Great Offer
The posturing‘s getting a bit boring now. Time to make this fight. It’s best for both of them to get on with it.
Re: AJ's Great Offer
If it's Povetkin as a mandatory next then I hope it goes to purse bids and the Ruskies win it, which is a possibility. See how AJ and Hearn get on when they're not getting things their own way.
Re: AJ's Great Offer
When Wlad had to go to Russia he was allowed to cheat his way to an easy victory.
The Russians are soft.

I think he'll vacate if there is still the chance of fighting Wilder, even for 1 less belt, rather than be forced into going to Russia.

Re: AJ's Great Offer
Doubt it, he said the whole point in fighting Wilder is so that we crown an undisputed champion. If he vacates 1 belt, it takes away from what the fight is.. Still a big fight, but even bigger with all the belts.
Re: AJ's Great Offer
Exactly. Talk about percentages and who should or shouldn't get paid what because of their previous income or based on the number of belts they have is pretty tedious stuff.
Get in a room, make the deal and spare us the rest.
Re: AJ's Great Offer
Yeah that fight was bollocks. I wasn't really meaning the officiating as such. Just AJ having to go away and deal with all the inevitable skullduggery in the build up etc....
Re: AJ's Great Offer
I wouldn't blame him but I think he wants all the belts but if one or more of the governing bodies start playing hardball with mandatories then he might be forced to vacate. Nothing surprises me with these arseholes these days!

Re: AJ's Great Offer
Wilder seems to be getting an easy ride for this fight not happening. Considering he stands to make the most he has ever made and the gain from beating Joshua would send him to an incredible place, and not just financially.
I find it odd he he hasn't asked his team to either get the deal done, or offer Joshua a deal, any deal, a deal, at least one deal....something.

Hearn needs to realise the AJ-Parker unification fight has just done less on Showtime than Erislandy Lara.
Re: AJ's Great Offer
What does that have to do with anything when Joshua earns five times what Wilder does every fight and routinely fights in front of six times as many people?mickey1975 wrote: ↑10 Apr 2018, 16:41 Hearn needs to realise the AJ-Parker unification fight has just done less on Showtime than Erislandy Lara.

They sold 250k tickets in 12 months and have made millions. Doubt he's sweating too much.mickey1975 wrote: ↑10 Apr 2018, 16:41 Hearn needs to realise the AJ-Parker unification fight has just done less on Showtime than Erislandy Lara.

Doesn’t AJ want to become a name in America? If not, stick to handpicked opposition in The Uk and shut up about Wilder.dirk2686 wrote: ↑10 Apr 2018, 16:56What does that have to do with anything when Joshua earns five times what Wilder does every fight and routinely fights in front of six times as many people?mickey1975 wrote: ↑10 Apr 2018, 16:41 Hearn needs to realise the AJ-Parker unification fight has just done less on Showtime than Erislandy Lara.

I thought I’d told you, although I understand you’re a BIT slow, a sold out Vegas card will generate as bigger gate as a sold out Wembley.dirk2686 wrote: ↑10 Apr 2018, 16:56What does that have to do with anything when Joshua earns five times what Wilder does every fight and routinely fights in front of six times as many people?mickey1975 wrote: ↑10 Apr 2018, 16:41 Hearn needs to realise the AJ-Parker unification fight has just done less on Showtime than Erislandy Lara.
Re: AJ's Great Offer
Well just read , that the offer was a flat fee of 20% no ppv ,share no ticket share , just a flat fee of the gate , Like most stuff you read on the net could be bollocks , BUT if true a BLATANT DUCK , and really an insult , .
So if its true i hope the russian gets his mandatory ,

But if true it's a fugging joke
Re: AJ's Great Offer
I sincerely doubt this is true. It is ludicrous, even for Hearn.
Re: AJ's Great Offer
theres all sorts of different supposed offers floating around, obviously there must be some bs going around then

That doesn't sound very much like someone wants to fight.tiny_acres wrote: ↑10 Apr 2018, 19:51From the million rumors floating around it's a flat rate of 8.8 million pounds
